Italics are easy:
< i > In front of the italicized phrase < / i > at the end of the phrase (no spaces, though). i turns the italics on and / i turns them off.
The triangle brackets tell your browser that the stuff in between them is HTML code, which is the computer language that your browser understands.

What do you mean by preposting text? Wrong word. I meant the text as I was typing it. I didn't see the italics until it posted. Looks like the numbers are generally improving, even with this (please G-d, let it be temporary) setback. We need to keep going with this!

"Next goal: learning to italicize copied material! LOL"
LOL, you'll have to go to the HTML sandbox (or daycamp, or kindergarten, whatever they call it) for that.
I CAN do the Itals, but I don't know how to make the font very, very small!
And pictures, I can't do pictures, can't dance, don't ask me!
