Well, you guys, I must once again thank you for all your prayers as well as provide a final update. James made it home this weekend, and will celebrate his fourth birthday at the end of this month.
He has a few follow-up treatments to take along with some medications, but he is walking strong (even running after his sister), reciting lines from his favorite movies Toy Story 1 & 2 and even reading the same books (3 & 4-letter words) that he was able to read before. He needs to build up his endurance, but amazingly, it looks like he will have a full recovery.
Before checking out of the hospital, James & I walked back into the Intensive Care Unit to thank the doctors & nurses who first saved him. They were thrilled & called his recovery miraculous. I truly believe this is nothing short of a miracle, and James has gotten a second life.
Again, I cannot thank you enough for all your prayers and support. You can believe they were heard!

Fantastic news! I've been altering between dread and anticipating joy. Thanks for affirming the joy. That's much easier to live with, isn't it?

Well, you guys, I must once again thank you for all your prayers as well as provide a final update. James made it home this weekend, and will celebrate his fourth birthday at the end of this month. I'm sorry not to have added to the wishes and reports of those offering prayers for your James, who shares his name with my own son, and if mine were short and to the point, the Boss above is used to my reports and requests in that fashion. But I'm sure their tiny weight was weighed in relation to those others that came in in toto.
God bless you and James.
