Pedro is a 7 inning pitcher

Heck....they're all 7 innings pitchers anymore.

I did some quickie calculations one year when Clemens was with the Sox and..even then...he makinga bout $1500 A PITCH.

Whatever happened to arms like Warren Spahn..382 complete games or Bob Feller, 279 or Marichal, Neikro, Carlton, Gibson et al who never made $17 mil in their lifetimes.

It is a joke these days to see some limp wrist getting a Cy Young (749 CGs) award.

Not all of them, the Big unit is a complete game pitcher. Beckett on the Marlins is rapidly developing into a complete game pitcher (two complete game shutouts in their run, one a two hitter with a walk and one a 5 hitter... watch out for this kid).

I'm with you though, the skill in pitching has dropped. Remember when being a good pitcher meant having 4 or 5 solid pitches? Now a slider and a "fastball" (which now often means a pitch with no interesting spin) will get you 6 million bucks.
