The deal with In N Out is they are completely privately owned, deliberately. They do not want investors, stock, franchisees. Every single one is owned and operated by one family. I can respect that.
They are feeding the firefighters once again. Props to them.

In 'N Out is the best! Great company. Great Burger. Growing up (20yrs ago), people used to edit their "In 'N Out Burgers" bumper stickers to read "In 'N Out urge."
