It's from an episode of the Simpsons, where Homer in flashback is showing how he built Bart his own toddler bed, that was supposed to be with Krusty the Clown bed posts, but turned out to look spooky as Hell.

Baby Bart kept chanting, "Must not sleep,... the clown will eat me"

It might come from Simpsons. Homer made a "clown bed" for Bart but it turned out to be a scary, broken down contraption that scared the hell out of him. He would sit in his bed at night and murmur can't sleep--clown'll eat me over & over
