They really think of California as Hollywood, and not much else.

I totally understand what you are saying. But the east coast bias is also apparent here on the east coast. They really think it is NYC, Boston and D.C. and Miami for vacation.

We have mountains, forests, farms, and more conservatives than we are given credit for.

Has anyone out side of this region ever heard of the DelMarVa peninsula????

Don't feel alone in being biasly ignored by the media.

Ah, lived there for years. "VA doesn't care about us and the rest of hte world doesn't know we exist."

Simi fire stalled at hilltop by line of Boscheck laid down earlier to protect the transmission towers. Still huge of course.

No offense, but not much happens in the DelMarVa peninsula. Occassionally, there are stories about chicken waste problems. You have to admit that route 13 is a snoozer. I always make sure I am wide awake before I drive it.

And if there are more conservatives on the peninsula than there is credit given for it, why has Delaware been consistently voting for Democrats in the last 10 years? I thought it was really tacky when Delaware voted Roth out of office. His contribution was large and the voters couldn't care less about it. The two counties in Virginia that are a part of the DelMarVa (Accomack and Northampton)generally vote for the Democrat. However, Maryland's counties on the Eastern Shore tend to be fairly strong conservative areas.
