The In and Out Burger is better then anything here in flyover country. I can always hope someday they will change their mind.
Evacuation in northern part of Porter Ranch is imminent as the fire leaves Chatsworth headed towards there according to KFI update report. Their reporter said the flames are going high into the air once again.

There are no words in the English language to describe such demonic behavior... islamist?
Its certainly beginning to look that way, that they certainly have planned this sort of thing, though it remains to be proven as to whether or not any or all of these recent fires have resulted from their efforts, or of those who may have been in their pay or in sympathy with their goals.
Though I prefer the spelling *islumist* myself.

Yesterday you could not see fire and now you can from your home? Hard to remember back.
Are you safe?
To: sandyeggo
>> I sure hope they still have their home. I haven't heard much about the situation in Alpine.
The live about 2 miles south of I-8. They are currently on vacation, and yesterday their neighbors told them the fire was still north of I-8. But the map on post #1913 (as of 7:00 AM this morning) shows the fire slightly south of I-8 in the Alpine area. I keep hoping for the best for them.

KCAL9 just said the Batallion Chiefs are not encouraged, the winds come at midnight
To: BurbankKarl
Well, since this is a California story, I vote that we use California time, and switch to a new thread at local midnight.
To: lainie

Think someone should start a new thread. I didn't realize we were over 2,000 posts! I have vowed to stay up and watch KTLA on satellite at midnight here since cable has had such louzy coverage all night long.

I've been watching the fire for days here from home. It's getting close to me on the north, about 4 miles across the Santa Ana River wash. They are evacuating in Highland, cross the wash, just north of me right now.
