Testing a picture article. I think there's deeper reasons for prejudice between the two, but interesting points.

Persia was the only country forcably converted by the Arabs, something to think about.

Persians are quick to point out they are not arabs. But equally quick to point out that they are muslims. It is clear from the tales of the Arabian Nights that Persia has a great history and culture, something that the rank and file arab must envy.

Sort of like the difference between a Grizzly and a Polar bear.
Both will tear your head off.

I hope so.

The Persians ( before the ayatolas and radical islam) may be less of a threat than the arabs. I really don't know.
But any fundamentalist muslim belongs in the "bear" category.

Testing a picture article. I think there's deeper reasons for prejudice between the two, but interesting points. "Picture article" is not good for those of us with slow dialup (26k on a nice, dry day in Seattle).
I have heard some, um, remarks that lead me to believe there is a big divide between the Arab and Iranian peoples, but I've never asked further.

The ones I know do. Over and above the Sunni/Shi'a split is that horrifying ten-year war they had with Iraq. Some of the stuff I've been told about that little contretemps would curl your hair.
