This is HUGE, this should be leading the national news, and will be in a short time as the scope of this arson campaign becomes clear outside of California. Maybe not. CNN is covering an important interview with George Clooney on his political views. Fox is covering Brad Pitt and his new babe, but promises to move forward to an update on who is banging Demi Moore.

I read somewhere last night that 2 juvies started the fire. Was that true or rumor?

Exactly. The poster boy for this is the Green Party/ELF/Pro Palestinean Intifada guy the FBI is looking for in Northern California. He was seen unbolting power towers earlier in the week. The Santa Ana winds were forecast days ago, and then:
/1/ Power towers are found unbolted over a large area of Cali.
/2/ LA County begins to burn on Saturday
/3/ San Diego County begins to burn on early Sunday.
Notice the north to south trend over the last 3-4 days????

My daughter called me at 5:00 AM this morning from Ramona. She and all her animals had been up all night watching the fire creep closer and closer. I think it's changed direction now.
As I look to the east, I see nothing but smoke.

I just went outside, we are over the mountain from San Diego and I can see the smoke clouds south of us. Probably from the area around Julian.

The lack of cable news coverage on this situation is absolutely mind-boggling!

Some of us who were up most of the night following the LA fires suspect that there has been an organized quieting of news on the fires. Kinda like in the old Soviet Union where you could tell a big story was happening by the increased level of inanities being broadcast.

Some of the local TV channels just switched to Football and NASCAR. Incredible! The circus must go on, as Rome burns.
Channel 10 is still on the fires. People are evacuating like crazy...

Illegals sometimes accidently start them; they often make their makeshift homes in fields near suburbs. A good Santa Ana will spread a carelessly thrown cigarette over thousands of acres.

Prayers for all of our freepers, their families, friends and other innocents in and around these infernos in the San Diego and LA areas.
Stay safe.
Have a safe route if necessary and don't wait too long. These fires can jump blocks or miles at a time with the right wind and temps.
Have your personal papers, pictures and smaller family irreplace treasures in the trunks of your escape car or the back of your SUV, ready to go. Have medicines, water and food for a day in that car with blankets or sleeping bags.
Get children, pets, older adults and anyone with respiratory problems out of those areas and head to the beach, don't wait.
Remember homes/furniture can be replaced, but lives can't be replaced.

Our best info through the night was from freepers in the area relaying what they were hearing on their scanners. Hope you SD folks can do the same today. Outside of the area we are getting almost zero news on the fires.
