WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Science backed up religion this week in a study that suggests life may have indeed sprung from clay -- just as many faiths teach.

A team at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston said they had shown materials in clay were key to some of the initial processes in forming life.

"While I appreciate your replies, you again falsly accuse me of denying and insisting when I did neither. I made a point, that is all, you seem to have a refex responce, maybe you are confusing me with someone else."

It's logic 101. Either God made all in 7 24 hours days as the Hebrew says or He didn't. Something is either true or false. You say it is false and opt with evolution. Just trying to help you with some logic.

"I was told by a good christian that my grandma was in heaven, and also that we are not in heaven or hell until J-D."

Isn't it time you stopped relying on others and spouting their views? Why not read the Bible and see what is true. Most "Christians" don't bother to read it. What you have stated again is false.

"I also was told that basically, the church leaders woke up one morning and said "I am tired of seeing all thouse Jews on the way to church on the Sabbath, lets change it to Sunday! (Good old Seventh-Day Adventists). The Mormons seem to think there is a new, new Testament --It seems God does reveal Himself--so to them, your NT is out of date, still valid, but kinda like the OT, all the real bad stuff was 'changed'"

Since when is hearsay truth? What is so wrong on reading the Bible and seeing what God says about all this. Haven't you noticed mere fallible mortals have an agenda that is not in agreement with God's word? For example once upon a time the KKK thought that through twisted the Bible they could validate killing blacks.

"Also, I never derided the creation story, after all, it was around long before the Bible!"

I didn't say you "derided" it. What you did was suggest that God's account of creation and evolution are both true at the same time. That is false. Evolution is supposed to have taken millions or is it now billions of years. The Bible states creation took place in seven, 24 hour days. These views , evolution and creation are not equilivent regardless of what famous fallible mortal would like you to believe. I'm also suggesting also that you do your own research and thinking. Surely that isn't offensive!

BTW I thought you were talking about YOUR beliefs. I didn't realize you were just going by what others told you. Please investigate the law of noncontradiction. It is two different doctrine, stories etc. being true at the same time - it is not possible!

"Evolution may be opposed to what is literally stated in the bible, but it is not opposed to any of the important ideas contained in the bible."

It is extremely opposed to the most important idea in the Bible.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;

Homo erectus ,Homo ergaster and Homo Neanderthalensis are definitely not in the image of God.
Unfortunately, this has been overlooked.

As I'm sure you'd agree, what defines a person is not their exterior, but their mind. So, no matter what exact form the human being took, it does not conflict with being in God's image any more than conjoined twins or a thalidomide baby does. And there are far more important ideas in the bible than Genesis 1:27. And my final point, how the heck do you know what God looks like anyway? And don't say Jesus, because Adam and Eve (and Genesis 1:27 for that matter) came way before Him.

Rest assured the term image of God does not refer to a physical image. However, the humans created in Genesis 1 had an external form that was different from the so called early forms... but that is beside the point.
And as is quite obvious, the mind of Homo erectus etc as described by those who espouse the theory, vastly differs
from the neural ability and overall perceptive capacity
of the humans in Genesis 1:27.
Neanderthal man etc did not have the Genesis human neuro-spiritual awareness... their description is simply NOT human.

Me:The godless evolution crowd believes we evolved form something - like aardvarks. LOL!"

You: The god-fearing believe God created us! LOL!

I fear Him. Indeed, He created humans and it didn't take Him millions or billions of years. His power and intellect have you looking commatose and as well as brain dead.

The older I get the more I look for Him to come for us. Whenever it happens I will be grateful. I've been witnessing to a bunch of atheists on About Christian board. There's 10 atheists to every one Christian on that board. Interesting uh? It appears to be a waste of time. One even told me to do him a favor and kill myself if I'm so anxious to get to heaven. Now I just plant articles and don't reply.

It was nice to get a positive response. Thanks.

Kudos to CNN for acknowledging the existence of the Bible. Now, where did they manage to find a copy? It must have been difficult for them.

Common Sense tells me they found the Bible in a public school waste basket !!!
