PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) --The father who has fought for more than five years to keep his brain-damaged daughter alive said when he visited her Thursday, she turned down his kisses, saying, "Uh-uh."

"I was in front of her and I'm kissing her on the cheek, and she doesn't like that," said a smiling Bob Schindler after visiting his 39-year-old daughter Terri Schiavo.

Ok, did that. It doesn't say he personally examined her, it says he saw the videotape.

What in the world is this Michael Schiavo's motivation if it's not money? He certainly doesn't sound like a guy who's morals are leading him to do the "right thing." If it's not money, then it's his complete hatred toward Terri's family. This greed and hatred are preventing this jerk from divorcing Terri and walking away and leaving her with the family that loves her. I have serious problems with this so called "husband." I think he's sees a pot of gold at the end of this. May he see hell in a whole new way!

I'm sure you have met these "types" in the course of your life. They are driven by POWER! The power to control and manipulate.

It may very well have begun "for the money", but now, he is so deeply immersed in the "power" that he just can't walk away. In part, he is also being prodded on by the attorney George Felos - a person who supports euthanasia. They used the court system to achieve 'his' goals. My guess is that this would be yet one more test case for the "pro-choice" proponents of euthanasia who are building their armada of arguments in order to de-sensitize Americans in their efforts to gain "sympathy" for legalizing euthanazia.

Michael Schiavo claims that, while Terri left no written living will, she "told" him that she would never want to live like this. According to the Schindlers, Michael NEVER mentioned this until the year 2000! Say what? All these trials over ten years and no mention of Terri's wishes until 3 years ago?

There is so much more than what the media is feeding to the American public. It is no surprise to me, and probably not to you either, that the MAJOR MEDIA support Michael. If one supports terminating life before it begins, then terminating life in its final stages only follows naturally. Why stop there? Let's eliminate "those who drain the medical system" of resources. This is the same mentality that drove the Nazis to eradicate entire populations of people - the gypsies, the Jews, the handicapped, the deformed.

A feeding tube is NOT life support. There are countless individuals in this country, many of them babies, who require this device for nourishment. Christopher Reeve, on the other hand, is on life support! Pull that plug out of his gullet and the man would be dead within 5 minutes! Do you think he eats 1" thick steaks with that device in place? Doubtful! He's probably on a feeding tube, as well. I don't hear any cries to terminate "Superman", do you?

Man "finds" Wife unconscious.

Man keeps Wife unconscious.

Man gets malpractice money for Wife.

Man wants Wife's money.

Man wants Wife dead so Man can have money.

Man gets Lawyer.

Lawyer is/was Hospice Board Member.

Lawyer promises Man that Wife will die at the Hospice...

Please, God, protect Terri as only YOU can from all the evil planned for her -- return her to the safety and comfort of her loving family.

Has anyone ever considered a boycott of the state??? I'm not sure, but I'm passing this along to any and all state parties I can find. Perhaps loss of revenue will spur them to action!

This is to inform you that I plan to boycott vacationing in your state indefinitely until the case of Terri Schiavo is justly and humanely handled. To this point your
justice system (namely Judge Greer) has made a mockery of one's most basic constitutional rights. It has made a mockery of the legislative and executive branches. It has made a mockery of fair and just civil and criminal proceedings. It has made a mockery of the life of individuals with disabilties. It has made a mockery of its citizens. And until that time when fairness and justice are restored, until that time when it stops taking advantage of those who are unable to speak for themselves, until that time when it stops being grotesquely determined to eternally silence the defenseless by gruesome and inhumane treatment, I will not step foot over your border or fund your corrupt system with my tourist dollars. And I will urge everyone I know to do the same.

Please end the injustice.

Looks like the Schindlers have the most prestigious doctor on their team:

The State Department of Health is not the only one to investigate Dr. Hammesfahr’s new technique. Medicare investigated his techniques from 1997-2001. In November of 2001, Medicare issued a determination. They identified him as the first to treat patients previously felt to be untreatable with permanent neurological deficits. Further, they noted that most patients improved, and none was harmed. They stated that his treatment of these patients was Medically Necessary and Reasonable, and directed payment of federal funds for treatment. The U.S. Patent Office issued a patent, after a 5 year investigation, in the summer of 2001 for this new therapy, identifying its novelty and effectiveness. His work has been cited by many medical organizations, including been referenced on the Web site of the Karolinska Institute, the home page of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology. He has also lectured to physicians extensively, lectures used by physicians to obtain relicensure of their medical licenses.

Dr. Hammesfahr and Dr. William Maxfield, a specialist in radiology and nuclear medicine from Tampa, examined Terri in September. Both doctors, recruited by the Schindlers, testified they do not believe Terri is in a persistent vegetative state. They also testified she could be helped by various experimental therapies, including sessions in a hyperbaric chamber, oxygenating her blood under high pressure and giving her drugs that would increase blood flow to her brain.

Dr. Maxfield testified that he thought Terri once tried to sing along to the music being played, that she recognized her mother, that she focused on moving objects and reacted to lights.

Here you go, the page with Michael's quotes:

Michael quotes

Realize, eight monthes after he won the malpracitice suit (these quotes are from his testimony) he suddenly began proclaiming that Terri didn't 'want to live like this'.

I worked in a home for the mentally retarded when I was first married in 1973. There was a woman I took care of who was middle aged then, her name was Lillian. She was completely unable to care for herself; apparently was brain injured. She communicated by means of a message board. She could tell you what she wanted or answer questions by pointing to that area on the board with a wooden pointer which looked like a drumstick. It fit nicely in her hand which was unable to open completely, but she could use that stick now! She even would tell you she would give you a whipping with that stick. She could tell jokes, ask for a Dr. Pepper which was her favorite drink, heck she could do LOTS of things with that board. Of course sometimes, we couldn't tell what she wanted, and that was a shame. Perhaps it wasn't on the board.
