PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) --The father who has fought for more than five years to keep his brain-damaged daughter alive said when he visited her Thursday, she turned down his kisses, saying, "Uh-uh."

"I was in front of her and I'm kissing her on the cheek, and she doesn't like that," said a smiling Bob Schindler after visiting his 39-year-old daughter Terri Schiavo.

Doctors said last week she would have died within two weeks without the feeding tube.

Yeah, as long as the gestapo was there to prevent any oral feedings on Herr Michaels orders.

>>I hope you didn't interpret my post as beating the drum for Bush.

I've noticed your posts, you usually say what I wish I'd said. Sensible and articulate. I used to be, but becoming a parent in middle age can do awful things to one's wits.

It is not good to be better than the worst, or effective to do "more than nothing." Jeb could have done more, and now, I believe, he can't do more. Also I think that if we hadn't clobbered him with our outrage and contempt, he wouldn't have done as much as he did.

Too expensive?!

We live in a land that provides free health care to illegal colonists, gives organ transplants to condemned criminals, spend hundreds of thousands to seperate twins joined at the head, who will probably never be able to live "normal" lives but it's a good photo op.

These are deemed good things by the vermin media

But it's too expensive to feed a innocent, disabled, citizen?

VIPERS!

You sound pretty articulate to me.

Also correct in your evaluation.

"That Geoffrey Fieger is a piece of work,"

I've heard that Fieger is going to try to get Dr. Kavorkian (SP) out of jail. I don't have a link - but think it was on TV that I heard it.

Can anyone else source it please?

As for the notion that many live in this country, look at Holland where Euthanasia has now been legalized. Ready to die? No problem, here's a shot to help you along.

Yeah, it's a cliche', but I'm reminded of Edward G. Robinson's death scene.

On the bone trauma, does this mean she was beaten?

Your guess is as good as the Schindlers. ALL of Terri's records are being held by Michael and his lawyer. They have also said that the minute she is declared dead, her body is to be cremated. No autopsy!

Man "finds" Wife unconscious.

Man keeps Wife unconscious.

Man gets malpractice money for Wife.

Man wants Wife's money.

Man wants Wife dead so Man can have money.

Man gets Lawyer.

Lawyer is/was Hospice Board Member.

Lawyer promises Man that Wife will die at the Hospice...

Jeb could have ordered protective services---or law enforcement---to take custody of her, under law both state and federal, in his capacity as executive. And let the dogs bark while her caravan rolled to safety.
Timid half-measures won't save her or his career.

Yup. By being timid, cowardly, and half-hearted, he gets the worst of both worlds -- he delivers a less-than complete resolution to Terri's crisis, and, he gets hammered by the democrats just as hard as he he would have if he'd taken charge and done the right thing.

When, when WHEN will the Country Club Gentlemen of the GOP grow a set?

Never, I fear.

OK, a couple nights ago I let everyone know that Jodi Centonze, Michael Schiavo's girlfriend had posted a profile on classmates.com. She graduated from Pinellas Park H.S. in 1983. Well, I just checked the site to see if any of my good friends with premium memberships posted a message to her school about her waiting in the wings while Schiavo murdered his wife just so she could marry him. Anyway, she has posted a second profile for herself. My guess is that she was bombarded with rotten e-mails and she re-created a new account. The most recent one probably has be more recent e-mail. I am suprised she didn't call herself "Jodi Schiavo".

Can you tell us what the new profile says please? Did anyone ever post a picture of her for us?

This is not just another outrage. This is the most blatant case of evil taking off its mask that I have ever witnessed. This is nat a difference of opinion among honorable people. This is a declaration of war upon the weak, the helpless, the disabled, the aged.

The death mongers know that too many people fear suffering and physical limitations more than the fear death and they exploit this fear to kill.

I read that the AARP is thinking about getting involved in this case on Schiavo's side. They are they are totally insane. They're being given a cup of poison which they seem eager to drink.

Michael Schiavo claims Terri did not want to be kept alive artificially. Doctors said last week she would have died within two weeks without the feeding tube.

Anyone would die within two weeks without food and water.

I am going to really pray for this whole situation, that's she recovers and also that the truth is KNOWN and he is punished if he did this to her.

I think Roger Ailes needs to be politely freeped. All of the coverage from Fox has either been ill-informed or biased against Terri and her parents. JUST GIVE THE GIRL THERAPY AND SEE WHAT SHE CAN DO. ARRGGGHH!

Just as JFK had PT-109 to inspire him to literary endeavor, Bushie too can write a book now.

I'd suggest something like, "Profiles in Mediocrity" as a working title.

This may be a little OT but it is an example of where we are heading.

Some dialysis units routinely encourage families to stop dialysis of relatives if they encounter some injury or medical problem. At first glance this may actually seem altruistic but wait a minute. Here's what happens.

They don't really stop dialysis. They provide a kind of phoney dialysis where only the fluid is removed not the toxins.

They stiil go through the same procedure only it does nothing.

My question is, if you are willing to put this person through this procedure, why not do the real thing?.The answer is simple. They're too much trouble and it's not difficult to find someone available to fill the empty chair who is less trouble.

No money lost and you eliminate problem patients

For now, I'll cut him a little slack. But if this turns out badly...no quarter

As I said earlier, failure is not an option in this case. "With your shield or on it" as the Spartan women used to say.
