UPDATE FROM TERRI'S VIGIL SITE ON LOCATION... by floriduh voter and drk4the1: TERRI IS NOT BEING RE-HYDRATED AT MORTON PLANT HOSPITAL IN CLEARWATER, FL. The Governor's Office is under the impression and reporting that the procedure started at 7:07 pm. While it's being reported to the family attorney that she is not going to receive anything. A telephonic hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm est with Judge Douglas Baird re: Michael Schiavo's suit against Gov. Bush and his executive order of today. Additionally, Michael S. is disputing his removal as Terri's legal guardian. Anything helpful appreciated. Contact floriduh voter or the drk screen name. We are outside fighting the mosquitoes. Just because you respond to my reply, doesn't mean you are due a response of your own, but since you are so persistent I will give you a response.

You stated that I am not in a position to judge whether someone is a christian or not. I have not made any judgment, I only made a descriptive comment. However, you are now saying that what I believe is a big difference is "Not really."

Using your same logic, you have no basis to tell me what I am thinking. You are not in a position to judge anyone are you. You cannot say that there is no difference between something when I say there is. What authority do you have for making that statement? If you want to continue this pointless and meaningless blather, fine. I think it merely exposes your post-modernist mindset and worldview. (Notice that I did not say anything about it being unchristian). Now go on and meddle in somebody else's dialogue. BTW, I thought that this was all about Terri! Indeed. imo, we are constituents so it's up to us if we want to make a polite phone call or if we want to wait and see what happens at the hearing today. But, at this point, there are threads thanking Governor Bush and I'm sure his staffers are just as tired as we are.

And for the record, at the beginning of our call to action, I stated that FV always wins. Am I going to say to doubters "I told you so?" Naw.

We require the upkeep of the rule of law in order to maintain the peace for the sake of our selves and livelihood that you profess.

We must, therefore, be attentive to where foul play attempts to circumvent the rule of law, such as in this case, where the husband's discovery of the wife's alleged wish to die, was actually a recollection found by his attorney, many years after the alleged comments made in passing between husband and wife allegedly occurred.

Not until eight years after the initial incident which led to Terri's being rushed to the hospital from her and her husband's home, did he propose that she had ever even suggested such a wish.

Unfortunately for her, if your view is correct, such a whisper from long ago, is insufficient upon which to make it more than it is, inspite of the concerted efforts by the husband, his attorney with vested interested in the hospice where she has been held, and the judge who denied all other pleadings that demonstrated proof of life --- that is, the will to live.

Up to and including the fact that for all this time, she has endured.

That is defined as the will to live, and a court would need quite a lot of solid evidence to defeat it.

Neither Mr. Schiavo, nor his representatives, have been able to provide such evidence.

From our perspective, a baby in its mother's womb, has no "quality of life" which meets your definition; and so, it is relatively easy from the outside, to dismiss the will to live.

I submit to you, that every day for a baby, is a struggle; there is much to defeat it; yet babies endure.

It is their right to die trying.

It is the right of the living, to die trying to keep on living.

It is the right of the living, to seek out proof of life in what beings may seem dead already, but die trying to save them.

For some of use, that is what we do for a living.

Dear Esteemed Gentlemen:

First, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did for Terri and her family these past days. It is so gratifying to see politicians working for the "culture of life". Unfortunately, the mainstream media continues to portray Terri as comatose, which only adds to all of our struggles to right this wrong. I believe if the public knew of her true state, they would be in favor of her rehabilitation.

As I understand it, Terri's family is being denied visiting priviledges. I cannot imagine the torture and weariness this family has had to undergo all these years, in addition to the silent sufferings of others going through similar circumstances.

I ask that you do what ever is in your legal capacity, to save this woman, permanently protect her from her husband who seems obsessed to have her killed, assign a good and charitable guardian ad litem, and make sure this doesn't happen again to anyone.

I also ask that a criminal investigation be brought against Michael Schiavo.

Do your duty gentlemen! I thank you again.
