Yasser Arafat is very ill and Ariel Sharon prefers an early natural death of the Palestinian president instead of deporting or assassinating him, a Lebanese newspaper reported on Monday.
Al Mustaqbal daily quoted unnamed Western and Arab sources as saying Arafat was suffering from acute stomach ulcer that needs an urgent surgery, but Israel's prime minister was denying permission to get the Palestinian leader to hospital.
Arafat's personal physician had applied for a permit to hospitalize Arafat for emergency laboratory tests and surgery, but Sharon insisted on keeping the Palestinian Authority leader confined to his Ramallah compound, the newspaper said.
"Sharon's backtrack from Arafat's expulsion was not the outcome of U.S. pressure or Arab mediation. It was prompted by his conviction that Arafat is close to a natural death and there is no need to making him a martyr," Al Mustaqbal concluded.

No matter how evil he is or what he represents, he should still receive medical care.

IMHO, not allowing medical help is the wrong move. If they can get help to him in the compound, that would be fine. To absolutely deny him medical attention will not sit well with the Arab world. It will only make matters worse.

Arafat has access to the medical care of his choosing.
Hes been free to leave his compound since the beginning of his isolation. Of course, its possible Israel might not let him return. And the several dozen terrorists seeking refuge in the compound might not be allowed safe passage. But whether Arafat stays or goes, has been and is his choice.
If you recall, when his illness was first reported a week or so ago he was attended by two separate doctors, including specialists from both Egypt and Jordan. In fact his personal doctor, Ashraf al-Kurdi, commuted to treat him from Jordan.
His treatment choices and location are his own. This is simply posturing to blame his eventual death on Israel. Expect a UN resolution equating it to murder.

Well, it actually ISN'T a "natural death." Several of the thirty peace watcher who are on guard outside his residence, claiming to be standing watch so the Israelis don't seize Arafat, have been poisoning the compound's water. They are being paid by Syrians who think Arafat is a PINO (Palestinian In Name Only).

Calling Dr Kervorkian ........... That little cockroach needs to be stomped to death by the victims or their families for the fear and death he's engineered his entire life till he's just a stain on the earth. He and those that support him in any manner are lower than whale shit in the trench IMO.

I'll believe that miserable old terrorist's death when I see it. araRATfink will linger just to spite everyone. However, when he does "kick the bucket", his victims will be waiting for him with pitchforks and claws I hope.

YEA...let's give him medical care....
How about a few more x-rays from a malfunctioning machine.....
