Gov. Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I'm all over it....emailing, faxing and calling yet again. I won't stop until she is saved or Christ calls her home. I owe her that much.

Jeb isn't gonna do anything. If he does, she will already be dead. Too little to late then. I watched the legislature today online. They were all laughing, having fun. Just infuriates me.

Sadly I must agree with you. The point is moot now. Even if they re-inserted Terri's feeding tube this very minute, she would require medical treatment for the effects of starvation and dehydration. As long as Michael Schiavo is her legal guardian, that would not be allowed. I no longer know what to pray for other than God's mercy for Terri, and for whatever His will in this may be.

Once again we see the FLOR-I-DUH legal system doing it's worst against individuals...First we had Elian Gonzales, then it was the all the crooks trying to steal the election in 2000 away from George W. Bush who had the cajones to go straight to the Supreme Court to be heard and now this poor woman! I sure am glad I don't live in Floriduh!

I just asked him in the message I left why he was yukking it up in the Legislature today while Terri Schivao was being tortured to death in his State. I told him if she dies, I'll join any boycott of that State and how disgusted I am with the lot of them.

JEB called this special session back on Oct. 9..... to begin on Oct. 20 and end on Oct. 24.....

I think that some thought maybe a bill could be introduced. All things I originally saw about it came back to a press release issued by the Terri group so stating about Johnnie Byrd to introduce the bill..... I've yet to find one comment by Johnnie Byrd anywhere on the net so stating that he intended to introduce a bill.... In addition Johnnie Byrd was campaigning for Florida Senator yesterday as he was making his Byrd for Senator kickoff announcements... It makes me wonder if there ever was any intent on his part to do introduce something or was it just a ploy by someone in the Terri group hoping to put some pressure on the Legislature as the met.... Who knows

Mr. Governor, GET MOVING. Round up some State Troopers, and get down to that hospice RIGHT NOW to rescue that dying woman!

Terri is being killed as we speak by a judicial system gone insane.
Judge Greer is not supreme unto himself. He is not the Almighty.
The men in the black robes are not infallible, they are not above the law, and they are not unaccountable for their actions in the courtroom.

There are so many troubling and gross irregularities in this case, I could not even begin to summarize them here.

The death of this innocent woman will stain your legacy in a most horrible way.
If you let this stand, through your own inaction, you might as well forget about any aspirations to higher office, since you will have shown the world your spinelessness.

GET A MOVE ON, MR. GOVERNOR. TERRI IS DYING. SHE HAS ONLY HOURS LEFT TO LIVE.
If you don't act now, you'll be dealing with the guilt for the rest of your life.

You've already been told by several lawyers that you have more than adequate authority to stop this atrocity. Sort out the legalities later. Give this woman's case the chance to be ADEQUATELY and COMPLETEY heard.

I emailed Lisa, who is on the FRONT LINES with the family. I was SO UPSET that the Special Session was adjourned withOUT the Terri Bill being heard.

I JUST HEARD BACK FROM HER and she said that "WE WEREN'T WATCHING THE RIGHT ONE!!!!!!!! "She said she would get back with me!! KEEP PRAYING AND DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!! Polly

Time to get down in the trenches, Prayer Warriors ~ at 5:15 p.m., let's fall to our knees wherever we are and storm the gates of Heaven for Terri ~ direct this indignation before the Throne of Grace and call upon the Almighty to work on her behalf. Remember the petition before the judge regarding her abuse and lack of care ~ may that judge render a just verdict.
