TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

"According to Fox News Alert, Terri IS currently receiving IV fluids..."
Acc to Fox she is comatose too. I wouldn't believe them.

Let's pray that's accurate! I just caught the tale end of the H&C segment about Terri. They had on Rep. Johnny Byrd. He said that this law IS constitutional, and that no court should be able to overturn it. M.S. has seemingly gotten away with so much, and now this! BTW, I also was under the impression that Michael worked at Morton Plant hospital. All they need to do is take Terri to a different hospital...one that would comply with the new law that was passed today! They can start IV's in the ambulance.

If hospice is free...where did the $$ go?? Hmmmmm...

MICHAEL SHIAVO DENIED AGAIN!!!! Per Fox News.
THANK YOU GOD!!!!

My 2cents for what it is worth. DMWT coming into this late. Once he does some investigation he will probably be right here fighting for Terri too. It's a debate issue and not Terri for him right now. I've asked nicely, twice now DMWT, please cut us some slack, here and go read up on this. A person is very close to dieing if this law isn't followed soon. It's kind of like yalls phrase "an inch separates" Well cc's of fluid the factor here. You bring up good questions but they are distracting right now. Perhaps we could debate them later?

"They are defying the Governor's order!!!! Hospice and Morton Plant Hospital both refused to hydrate her claiming the law passed today is unconstitutional and therefore, they are afraid of being sued. Michael Schiavo's attorney is threatening to sue any doctor who provides feeding or care to her - this is unbelievable and surreal!!!! "
Did you think Schiavo and Felos hadn't been doing their homework these past 2 days? They saw this turn of events coming. They want her dead. Believe it, for heaven's sake!

Fox reports second request for injunction denied.

"Judge not lest ye be judged."
Send this back to the idiot:
Matthew 18:15-17
If your brother sins, GO AND SHOW HIM his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

If you behave as liberals, i.e., trash other posters, your post will be pulled. Debate the message, not verbally abuse the poster. If we have to, this thread will be pulled. I am not about to decide who posted what to who on a 2100 post thread, not to mention the 1000's of other Terri threads where someone said something to someone. Act like conservatives.

OKKKK, Let's just talk about Terri, ok guys?

"will the state now be empowered to veto the decisions that I make about the health of my children, or their education and point to this legislation as a precedent"
Is the other parent of your children disagreeing with your decisions? If not, you have nothing to worry about. That's the only reason this case was in the courts, because the woman's parents disagreed with the "husband's" (and I use that term loosely) decisions. If the parents had agreed with MS, or were already deceased, Terri would have been dead years ago.

Do you know who authorized her move to the hospital?
Is there a Catholic hospital around there they can take her to?
Gosh this is maddening!

I'd be willing to bet that Michael, all 6'6" 280 lbs., gets right up into their faces and threatens them with bodily harm! At least I wouldn't put that past him. Oh, and don't forget, although Felos hasn't been willing to comment publicly on this, I'll bet he's having to rewrite that book he's been working on about Terri, and how she said "no tubes for me!" No, Felos doesn't have any vested interest in how this all turns out. Yeah, right.

Beyond maddening. This is hard to believe. These people will NOT give up.
