TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO SEND THANK-YOUS TO ALL THE LEGISLATORS WE FREEPED - AND JEB BUSH, TOO!
Yes, and some who doubted Jeb's committment to LIFE should IMHO offer an apology as well.
I believed Jeb would act if he could find a way that would work....it took time but he finally did!
Now we must continue to pray for Terri!

Hi! My sister's (Dixiegrrl) told me about you...all good.
I wanted to address your tagline re: illegal to starve a dog but not a human. It's interesting you put it that way, as it's been said in history that the first case of child abuse was handled by the ASPCA. It was not okay to abuse a dog but it was a "personal decision" to abuse a child? So from the way I see it, it's been seen the way you put it for a long time. Starving, beating, hurting an animal is illegal and attracts people like PETA, ASPCA, etc. but if you starve a person in hospice or a disabled person, it can be considered euthanasia, death with dignity, "what she really wants". The last one gets me pissed more than anything because, well, do you know how many rapists justify their actions saying, "It's what she really wanted". And that is what MS (which to me stands for Monsieur Sh!%head) is saying about justifying attempted murder of his wife: She wouldn't want to live with this way, it's for her own good.
BTW, since in the evolutionary sense we would be considered animals, why *wouldn't* PETA step up on this? LOL Oh yeah, forgot who I was talking about. Darn us and our common sense!
My mom was in hospice for just a few days before she died. Covenant Hospice thankfully, was wonderful up here in NW Florida and made it possible for my mom to come home 2 days before my wedding so I could get married at my home instead of in a hospital. We had to readmit her the day of the wedding because she verbalized her desire to go back. She died 6 days later. Between this and my new pregnancy, human life is extremely sacred and I try to protect it at all costs. If some of these people can't see that Terri is ALIVE and can thrive with the right help, they are myopic to an alarming degree.
Thankfully I do live in Florida, the nice, relatively normal northwest part, so I will have my say on this come voting day as well. I have signed petitions, emails, as much as I could do in the past week (okay, not as long as some of you but give me a break...my dear sweet baby has decided on an in utero career as "food critic" and nothing I eat is liked.) Oh, and when voting day does come, keep in mind that I will be only voting once, even though if I wanted to be a PITA I *could* argue that I am voting for two as well. =o)

I remember another poster saying did we realize this was a test, to see if our culture would accept something like this happening? Thank God we have some righteous souls left. Amazing what can happen when people can get together on something like this.
Maybe the tide really is turning in this country, now that we can all communicate easily with each other, and put the pressure on legislators who have been working on their own nefarious agendas behind our backs for years.

"OH YES, YES!!! I have been praying for a mighty TURNING BACK TO GOD as a people!!! What I saw on the senate floor last night with MANY senators PROCLAIMING PUBLICALLY the NAME OF THE LORD, WAS SO REFRESHING......PRAISE God !!!!!!!! "
Yes we saw it!!! I believe we have witnessed a miracle of Biblical proportions. I feel so blessed to see something like this in my lifetime! Looking out over the sea of tears on FR one night, I felt like I was living in Old Testament times, when the people turned to God with weeping and prayer. And last night I overheard TWO, not ONE, but TWO TV shows talking about turning back to God, reaching out to others, and I'm in total awe of the situation. Now if Terri will just be OK!!! I can't believe He would bring us this far, and not grant that Terri would be OK. Let's keep praying!

The pro-Terri side has landed one blow. Maybe 2, with the rejection of the plea for injunction.
We shouldn't get overconfident, the devil never sleeps.
Nothing is going to cure Greer except a prompt, white-hot RECALL.

thank you...

Just got confirmation via email that Jeb has already signed Terri's Bill.
Sender also said that Terri must be 'brought back' very carefully....when tube is reinserted.
She will send more details later.

"I wish we could see live footage or pictures of the vigil after receiving the good news!"
EVERYBODY, CAN I MAKE A SUGGESTION?
CALL AND EMAIL CNN RIGHT NOW TO KEEP THIS STORY COVERED TO THE HILT. Tell them to get down to ground zero for some great live television at the hospice vigil.
I don't have cable, so I don't know what they've covered so far.
These cable networks are fiercely competitive, and they all want to be the one to get the jump on the current "Story".
Well, This IS the STORY!!
A more compelling, dramatic story hasn't come along in a long time.
And thank CNN while you're at it.
Other networks to contact include MSNBC and Fox News Channel. They need to cover this 24/7 at this point.

You can shock her system if the rate of the feeding is too fast. She has to be started slow and gradually brought up to a full rate.

Do you think that there is time to save Terri? Or she is likely to really go into a coma now? At what time is the tube expected to be re-inserted? Is it possible that the Schiavo bodyguards will try to physically block the re-insertion?
I know that Michael Schiavo must be so LIVID now that he cannot think rationally. He may run everyone out of the room except his "team" and try to smother her.
If Schiavo's bodyguards continue, how will Terri ever get help? He won't let her go to the hospital, and I know she needs hospitalization now. Even a stray cat would get to go to an animal hospital in such a condition as Terri.

This is a wonderful victory FOR life.
The Scripture I think of now is..... Choose you this day whom you shall serve.... but for me and my house we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15.
And...... I call heaven and earth to witness against you today,
that I have set before you life and death,
the blessing and the curse.
So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendents. Deut. 30:19
GLORY AND HONOR, TO YOU LORD!!!

A more compelling, dramatic story hasn't come along in a long time.
Yes, and "out to lunch" were Dan, Peter, Tom, Katie, etc. The media missed the story of the year here, worrying instead about a basketball player and unfound weapons of mass destruction. Even Ba' Wa' Walters knew nothing of this, unless I am mistaken.

"Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. "
Amen, and AMEN!
Rev 11:15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Rev/11/15.html Excuse me, but this is one of my favorites:
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.
Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Psa 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Psa/Psa002.html (try the hymn at the musical note)
We need to encourage the whole world to join us in worshipping this Loving yet RIGHTEOUS God.

Wouldn't everyone like to see the expression now on the face of George W. Greer? I would imagine that his national publicity is now the LOW POINT of his life. I bet he is squalling on the shoulders of his friend the sheriff. Of course, I think he will strike down the law in the next few hours, and the impasse will resume. I hope Jeb goes through with the law, despite George W. Greer's opposition.
