Gov. Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

Yes LadyPilgrim. I have felt God's hand in this almost from the time I first saw this story. He's calling His people to serve HIM. I believe (well I hope, and I PRAY) that He is preparing us to be led 'OUT OF EGYPT'. I SAW His people turn to him with broken hearts and contrite spirits, ready for Him to work through them to tear down the enemy's strongholds. There is a real hunger for God in His people. This has been a mighty witness and testament to His control over princes and principalities. As you said, He IS the God of Creation!! And yes, I have marvelled that almost six and a half days after not eating and drinking, Terri is still alert. Our God is a God of miracles. We need to spread that word.

OH YES, YES!!! I have been praying for a mighty TURNING BACK TO GOD as a people!!! What I saw on the senate floor last night with MANY senators PROCLAIMING PUBLICALLY the NAME OF THE LORD, WAS SO REFRESHING......PRAISE God !!!!!!!!

It sounds wonderful, but I still haven't heard that the tube's been reinserted. THAT'S what I want to hear, and that she hasn't had any serious damage from the dehydration.

On Hannity, Byrd is saying that the order was immediate to put the tube back in....

Don't worry. She is safely in God's arms. I just continue to pray that it will be His will that she recover from being dehydrated, but look how He has used Terri in His work already though. This is about her, yes, but it's also about the rights all other disabled American citizens too. After things settle down, I plan to contact my senators in Texas and request our governor also have this option for rare situations like this.
