Former cokehead Don Imus kicks Rush when he's down

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Syndicated New York radio personality Don Imus excoriated Rush Limbaugh last week in the wake of the conservative talk show host's admission that he is addicted to prescription painkillers.

"Rush is a fat, pill-popping loser and an undisciplined slob who was turning his maid into a drug pusher," Imus observed on his show. "As soon as he gets caught, he starts whining ... suck it up, fatso. Stop taking 100 pills a day or whatever ... and employ some discipline in your life."

A hundred pills a day? This claim appears to be greatly exaggerated.

That much medication would leave even a long-term and highly habituated user in a near-coma. The metabolites of these substances would be leaking out on the floor in a puddle. Massive body systems failure would have occurred long before.

suck it up, fatso

Imagine if a conservative called Rosie ODonnel "fatso".

Imagine if a conservative called Hitlery "Thunder Thighs".

Imagine if a conservative mentioned Streisland's nose.

But remember, the Democratic Party is the party of tolerence, while the Republican Party is the party of hate.

the 'those who want to see any conservative fall on their face' crowd ""...The left has empathy only for there own because their politics are the basis of their morals...as opposed to the right where morals are the basis of their politics...

Nobody takes Imus seriously. He says things just like this about his friends.

Is Rush even fat anymore? He looked very slimmed down the last few times I've seen him. Still large but not fat, that was my take.

Rush is a big money machine for a lot of businesses and advertisers.

I'm sure they want him back for selfish reasons.

Likewise, someone like Imus who sucks Rush's dust in terms of radio ratings, probably would like to see him fall a lot in the ratings.

My guess is that his ill will is ultimately based on self interest.

I watched Imas a few times on the MSNBC feed. His demeaning banter with his own staff turned me off. Howard Stern is aired on the E-Channel. I've caught his shtick a few times. This one evening he had another woman on that was dying to be evaluated by this slimeball. He and his staff proceeded to trash her for about half an hour. She finally left in tears. This wasn't the typical silicone implant bimbo. She had a very nice figure and pretty face. She was quite attractive.

Some of these guys get off on belittling others. Even when Rush disagrees with this guests, he allows them to have their say and do damage to themselves.

The DJs that put others down leave me flat.

Rush does address the attributes of public personalities. Sometimes he's pretty tough on them, but this is different than slamming guests or staff members.

Rush will always be fat as long as he is conservative.

Imus is not worth commenting on. He has about three people each morning watching his show. This guy has seen his best days. As a matter of fact, MSNBC could use a major retooling. None of their news & commentary shows have any impact at all, although, I must admit they do beat CNN. That does not say too much, because CNN is dead, and has been for some time! As for Rush, he'll come back stronger than ever!

Even when Rush disagrees with this guests, he allows them to have their say and do damage to themselves.

One other thing Rush does that no other talk show host does ( That I have heard anyway) is thank the caller.

Not even the 'Mister Polite' Clark Howard does it. All the others simply disconnect.

As for Imus. He is a huckster and loser.
His 'ranch' acquision through idiots 'donating' for his ranch absolutely turned me off.
He is p@@@ywhipped, turned into a vegetarian, complains about smokers, all the while chewing Nicorette nicotine gum.

I can't stand to listen to him anymore.
The ONLY amusing segment he ever had is Bernard McGurk. He is funny.

One poster has said they were taking the same medication, and could manage nicely on 2 capsules a day, even with extreme pain.

Exactly.

They obviously don't listen to Imus, who rarely has a good word about anyone.

This is true. Imus is an equal opportunity insulter, and nobody hammers the Clintons better than he does. He has always been open and self-depricating about his past, so it didn't bother me much that he slammed Rush. "Tough love." Imus does some excellent interviews too, so I listen to his show sometimes.

Imus ridicules everybody, his radio show ranks near the bottom of the competition. It's like listening to a big infomercial for his 'ranch for children' If Rush were to make a donation Imus would be very supportive. His business selling clothes, salsa, etc went under, his wife is a pain in the ass,he's 60+ years old with a 5 year old kid who's a spoiled brat, his ranch is a money drain.Imus has got a lot to be miserable about.
