Terri shiavo is being murdered before my eyes!!!!!!!

I am posting this message from Pinellas Park Florida concerning a matter of utmost urgency. At this very moment the state of Florida is committing a crime against humanity. A young woman named Terri Shiavo is being starved to death in Hospice care by order of the Florida courts. Terri suffered massive injuries several years ago which left her in severe physical condition and in need of major therapy. However, her husband has seen to it that Terri had no therapy or medical treatment, making it clear that his only wishes were for Terri to just hurry up and die. (lots of life insurance money involved) When he saw that Terri was going to fight for her life he began proceedings to have her euthanized… The mainstream media has lied about this case from word one saying that Terri is in a comma or a persistent vegetative state when she is actually very responsive to the attention and instructions given to her by others. The media has also stated that Terri is on life support which she is not….The only way Terri is assisted is by a feeding tube. Her injuries have left her unable to chew or speak because she has been denied any type of rehabilitation. Terri’s husband is strongly suspected in this case. Nurses and countless others have filed affidavits with Florida’s legal system stating that Terri’s husband is extremely abusive toward her and that he tried to kill her by giving her injections of pure insulin while she lay in the hospital. Yet, no criminal investigation has ever been carried out in this matter….why? Because Terri’s husband received nearly one million dollars to pay for Terri’s rehabilitation, and it is strongly suspected that he owns the judge who is handling this case. On Wednesday Terri’s husband won his battle to have her murdered, and her feeding tube was removed from her body…She has had no food or liquids since 2 pm wed. I came to Florida to investigate this matter. I just couldn’t believe that this could happen in America. But its all true and a helpless Terri Shiavo lies dying a horrible death while her parents and loved ones are kept from her side by armed guards. I have been standing vigil with Terri’s family for the past two days and I must say that this is the most horrifying thing I have ever witnessed. We need your help to get Terri’s story out before its too late. She only has a couple of days left. Our group has been in contact with Jeb Bush, who has the power to take executive action and stop this atrocity from occurring in his state. Jeb is obviously more worried about his political career than he is the life of one of his constituents….Don’t let Florida hide Terri’s story any longer….Go to her web site www.terrisfight.org and get the facts. You will be alarmed at what you see. Please call president bush, Governor Bush, and any other government officials you can think of, but most of all help us to get the truth out. I have watched reporters from CNN, FOX, WGN, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC interview Terri’s family. They are filming and reporting the truth but it is never getting past the cutting room floor. Please call your local papers and radio stations….We must get the truth out or this woman will be dead very soon. No one in Florida’s courts or political system will even hear Teri’s case or her family’s cries for justice. I guess its just not good politics to try and do the right thing anymore. Please help…. everything you do can make a difference…If the state of Florida can get away with murdering a helpless woman then the rest of us are fair game………PLEASE HELP. This is REAL and it’s happening right now.

Unfortunately I believe you are correct.

... am not one who is particularly comfortable with the idea of euthanasia...

Although the person who posted this article, "russesjungee" signed up today on FR to post this piece and although it is poorly formatted, I must agree with RJ. Not only it is an unprincipled and anti-Christian action to pull the plug and kill this person that you view as nothing other than a vegetable, but it should be contrary to any loving person.

This reminds me of a person, unembalmed of course, who is placed in a coffin then awakes after all the dirt is piled on. I believe that soul knows what's going on around her and who is to say she doesn't?

When human beings decide to play God with the life of an innocent all hell will break loose.

"I suppose you have seen more video than I have since I don't live in Florida and I don't have a TV but this one short video here sure seems to contradict the idea of 'aimless eye rolling' and 'mindless noises.' (That would be a fairly apt description of Stephen Hawking without his computer, by the way.) "

The videos are on her website:
http://www.terrisfight.org

I'm glad you mentioned Stephen Hawking. He does look less aware than Terri does. Yet he is considered brilliant.

Terri's eyes are alive. There is a person there. I know my mothers eyes were glassy and dead-looking when she went into a coma before her death. It's a sight I'll never forget. When you see the video of Terri, I cannot understand how anyone can say she is gone.

Her parents want her home with them where they will give her comfort and love. Her husband has denied her any reasonable rehabilitation and stimulus for 13 years. It is so obvious who has Terri's interest at heart.

I sincerely hope they investigate her old injuries and indict this man for murder.

You claimed you have provided that, can you at least link me to this legal info? For someone who has been on FR for a while you should know better than make that statement. I never claimed to have provided anything. Get off your duff and look in any thread about Terri, including this very one, for all the legal info. Ah, but you already know that already JEB can stop this because you didn't answer the question and are only posting to start something.

A governor can save a murderer on death row from execution with one call. He doesn't even have to have a reason. One governor in another state pardoned all death row inmates when he was leaving office.

An excutive order would stop this slow murder of Terri, while they looked into the legal ramifications. They may eventually rule against the order, but it would give the rest of us a chance to fight for Terri and make sure the world is aware of this travesty.

When Jeb Bush stands with the rest of the people supporting Terri's right to live, then I will believe he has done all he could.

Is he on the front lines of this fight? Is he in front of the hospice? That would make a powerful statement.

Several threads running about Terri have been started by people who joined within the last few months. Most of these threads have as much to do with bashing Jeb Bush as with saving Terri. Anyone else see this as odd?

Nope. I don't see it as being odd because that was their initial purpose anyway. The emotion gets shocked, then folks fall in line with the bashing sentiment.

Let's give them the benefit of the doubt right now. This is a VERY impassioned fight for a woman's life. I know what I FEEL. I have been involved with FreeRepublic for over 5 years, mostly sitting on the sidelines reading. This is my first time to really actively post.( what a EXPERIENCE, I might say!)

When you are fighting for a cause, to search and find a " place" to vent is the norm! Let's hope that they have found FR and are doing just that.

Terry has NOT left the building.

You are SO RIGHT. If you have not done so, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE AUDIO CLIPS OF TERRI TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH HER DAD. SHE TRIES TO ANSWER "YES"( listen over and over again!!!!)

I wept last night listening to these audio bites , which are at her website www.terrisfight.org . We have a 25 year old autistic, deaf, developmentally delayed son. Our George sounds EXACTLY LIKE THAT.

Do you now know why we are impassioned by Terri? This could be OUR GEORGE DYING

GOD HELP AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!

For those Catholics on this thread and Jeb Bush is a Catholic, the pope just started the process to recognize Mother Theresa as a saint.

This would be a perfect saint to pray for to intervene in this case. She took care of those too sick to care for themselves. Terri certainly falls into this category.

Please explain what legal authority Gov. Bush possesses to take charge of this case.

From what I can tell, if the 'legal authority' to care for this woman were present, Gov. Bush would do it in a split second. I mean, it's a slam dunk.

But if no legal authority exists for his action(s), anything he does would be unlawful.

Isn't that what we accuse the Leftists of doing? If so, why should we act outside the boundaries of the law?

I do not understand how and why in America a woman's life and right to life is held in the hands of her husband. How atrocious and appalling to think that wives are still viewed as chattel and slaves, held in bondage by marriage vows. That's not marriage. That is not the vow "...to have and to hold, in sickness and in health."

I refused to say, "obey", when Mr. M and I were married but I never thought about how the rest could be twisted. I'll remember this when my children marry. If anything Terri's life and death will have brought up many questions and hopefully will save other women's lives. Strange how that monster refused to divorce her (as per her wishes) and followed the last of his vows, "until death do us part".

You are not the only one who has noticed - we have a gaggle of people who sign up, and their first post is a vanity of this situation, and all bash Jeb, ignoring the judge who made this decision, then call FReepers names if they don't fall into lock-step with the newbie's position... it's VERY odd, to say the least...

As has been cited on other threads, Governor Bush has expressed a desire to intervene, but lacks the legal means to do so.

He has meekly mewled, shrugged his shoulders, and sighed. If he cannot use his legal authority to save her life, he should BOLDLY use his moral authority to express his outrage loud and often. He should use the governorship as a bully pulpit to call for a change in the law, to challenge the Florida legislature to do its duty to protect innocent life. If what is required is a state constitutional amendment, he ought to take the lead to promote it.

If it is too late to save Terri, Jeb ought not let her murder be in vain. He must lay the groundwork now to prevent the murders of future innocents such as Terri.

In my opinion, he's showing moral cowardice--not competence. If I were a Florida resident, I'd be just as meek and equivocal when deciding whether to vote for him. Until and unless he shows the spine and vigor to back up his pro-life verbiage, he deserves nothing better.

Well, Ms. Croft - let me ask YOU a question. Do you think it's ok for people to go around the forum using Guilt-Trip Tactics, such as posting on the Baseball series threads things like "While you all are watching baseball and enjoying life, Terri Shiavo is being murdered blah blah blah"?

If people would keep the Shiavo posts on Shiavo threads, most wouldn't be here - but hey, we were invited in a rude, self-righteous manner so stop b****ing now that we are here...

I don't think terri's body is suffering any pain. The parents want to take care of the body. I don't have a problem with that and neither should the husband unless the life insurance money is involved.

so how do you feel about severely retarded kids where no one is home or if they are, there is not much there ?

A lot of them can not take care of themselves without significant (although not medical) aid either.

How do you feel about quadrapalegics who need as much help as terri does ?

and who has authority over the "Judge" if HE violates the LAW??

Ultimately, the people. If this judge is so bad, then it's apparent that the people of FLorida have been remiss in their duties. If anyone is to blame for this, the People of Florida certainly have some share of the blame...
