Passed ball, maybe he'll get possessed by Ricky Henderson and steal third. With a hitter like Jeter, who hits to all parts of the field, it's tougher to prevent a steal of third because the third-baseman doesn't want to leave a gap between himself and the shortstop while guarding third.

This game is wearing me out...Seems like it should be the 8th, but it isn't! It's already two and a half hours old, and only 1 out in the bottom of the 6th. Playoff games are usually longer than regular-season games, with all the extra managerial moves made (pinch hitters, one-batter pitching changes, meetings on the mound).

Trying to steal third with Giambi and Williams up would be a mistake in my opinion. He can score from second on a hit now, why risk the baserunner?
