The GOP Is Doing Its Best To Lose The November Election: Why is it behaving this way and what can be done to change this dynamic?
American Thinker ^ | 08/22/2022 | Vince Coyner

Last week, Tucker Carlson showcased the fact that the GOP is doing its best to lose November’s election.

He included a clip of Mitch McConnell admitting that the GOP would likely not take the Senate. McConnell and the rest of the leadership don’t want to win. Carlson rightly suggested that, if Republicans really wanted to win, they’d run on crime and immigration. While the economy is reportedly voters’ number one issue, it’s what goes on in their neighborhoods and on their streets that matters. If Americans don’t feel safe in their homes, walking down their streets, or sitting in drive-thru lines because they’re scared to go into a restaurant or store, nothing else matters…not the economy, abortion, gender rights, or Ukraine.

Republicans don’t care. They’re complaining about Biden’s spending, bemoaning government overreach, and sanctioning Putin. Those issues aren’t going to return the GOP to power, but Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and Ronna McDaniel seem sanguine. Their lives don’t change if the GOP doesn’t take back Congress. They’ll still rule their little fiefdoms, still be invited to Georgetown cocktail parties to be feted by lobbyists and, of course, they’ll still be on Sunday morning shows to feign outrage for the latest Democrat policy.

For these grifters, the only difference between winning and losing in November is having to work for the American people…something they’re loathe to do.

But for the average American, the difference between winning and losing in November is literally life and death, lawlessness, or civil society.

The world wouldn’t change overnight on November 8, but what could happen is that the people who control the purse strings, who are supposed to make the laws, could change—just as in 1994.

Kevin McCarthy is tenured "Republican" from California.

How can that be that McCarthy is a tenured Republican from the bluest of the blue communists states? Hmmm? Good question. Maybe he never was a real Republican. He just plays one on TV.

The GOP leadership hates Trump as much as the Democrats do. They’d rather have a minority party than lead a majority party full of Trump endorsed representatives.

It’s too early to worry. Just wait till the campaign ramps up and we remind voters why Democrats are terrible.

The GOP is being sabotaged by the people at the top of the party and in congress, namely Mitch McConnell and others like Liz Cheney and her family (Dick, for example); none of them want a congress that favors anything that helps Trump to come back to power. Keep Trump’s picks out of the senate and house, and Trump can’t come back to implement his agenda.

It’s all about weakening Trump way ahead of his announcement to run for the presidency in 2024. The GOP establishment would rather democrats run the government than to have Trump at the top again.

Simple the GOP (the actual establishment leadership etc) is NOT conservative.... and never has been. They play the game to get votes, but they don’t actually believe much in conservative principles... just lining their own, and their backers pockets... they are just as happy to sell out America as any Left winger, just as long as they get a cut of the proceeds.

They are invested in their own power, and if preserving their power structure means losing some elections to keep the whole system afloat, they will do it.

WHy do you think the GOP stood by and let 2020 be stolen?? Because the ants were threatening the grasshoppers... Don’t fool yourself for one minute... The Establishment GOP is just as much a part of the problem as the Democrats... only the naive thing otherwise.

Both parties happily sold out this nation to China for decades and took their cut, they have no intention of changing their course willingly.

Why do people "wonder" why the GOP seem to do things to "lose"?

It's like they haven't figured out that the two parties have the same agenda but they know that there needs to be a good cop and bad cop to fool the people.

Relax, don’t panic. Republicans aren’t “losing” the election, nor are democrats winning, because the campaign hasn’t even started yet. Polls are nothing but static at this point, the vast majority of voters don’t even begin to tune in until after Labor Day and don’t start deciding how they will vote until well into October.

From the Title:

"...Why is it behaving this way and what can be done to change this dynamic?"

Perhaps I should make this a standard posting between now and election day.

Plus any other reasonable ideas folks can suggest

Note these articles were written BEFORE the 2020 Presidential Election, but these guidelines still apply today.

An old story, Everett M Dirksen was a master of this. He just needed a certain minimum number of Goper senators so he could block up legislation until he extracted the favors he needed to keep donors happy and generous. His greatest moment of fraudstering was when he held up LBJ’s civil rights package until Johnson agreed to let certain tax code changes be made which pleased the donors. Ed then released Gopers to vote as they pleased and became ‘a truly great human being’ to quote a phrase common in DC circa 1965. He became an instant hero in the lackey press and well compensated fraudster at the same time making him lengendary in the Capitol back rooms.

“Establishment Republicans Always Grab Defeat from the Jaws of Victory.”

DC GOP is lost, so we’re going around them. Send any and ALL political donations directly to your candidates, not through the the GOP coffers, (think of all the 2020/2021 donations to the RNC for election integrity), where Rona and company lined their pockets but lifted not a finger to stop the steal!

We’re going to crush the Democrats in spite of the establishment GOP. We’re sending our own warriors!

They GOPee isn't trying to win, and saying they will lose, to cover up while the machines are being readied for another coup.

They (GOP/RINOS) are the Accomplice (Republican) party to the Criminal (Democrat) party.

It's likely they are traitors as well. See movie Selection Code.

I have done work with both local and state GOP here in Commiefornia so I have a bit of insight to offer here: The GOP is mostly corrupt across the board and is more interested in filling their pockets with money than changing the status quo. This is exactly why nothing changes for the better here in sunny Commiefornia and I don't think it will any time soon despite the tireless work of countless volunteers and true conservatives trying to fight Goliath both outside the party and within. Frederick Bastiat had a pithy term for these corrupt officials: Looters. That is what we have in the GOP, a bunch of corrupt, traitorous, duplicitous looters.

Whether you like him or not, Trump is working to change this by primarying the looters out and replacing them with true Constitutional based conservatives (or what I prefer to call Classic Liberals). This really is our last, best hope at this point and if that plan fails, then we are truely lost as a nation like California is lost as a state.

Trump’s critics are proven correct if he does not use his infrastructure to get funding to these candidates. They are completely dependent on establishment orgs and the donor class to support them otherwise.

It’s really not that difficult. His campaign organization has far more than 1 million people on a contact list that could easily donate a mere $10.00 per candidate to give each and every candidate a competitive campaign war chest. This is simply not being done.

Are we ignoring the massive America First success that’s been occurring during the Primaries?

Better to point to the individual troublemakers instead of a blanket condemnation.
