How to Defeat Mail-in-Voting Part II

By J. Johnson

Much has transpired since our first entry on how to defeat mail-in-voting. Recent primaries in New Jersey and New York, as well as confirmed concerns over the U.S. mail system overall demonstrate the flaws in the vote-by-mail-only concept. In this edition, we will cover these issues, what to expect in the coming days, and a pro-active response.

New York:

The local NBC affiliate in New York City reported the final vote count for the June 23 primary this year may be in by August due to “…a tidal wave of absentee ballots that overwhelmed a system which typically handles only around 5% of the vote…” That’s over a month. Imagine 100% mail-in-voting.

New Jersey:

In a special election held back in June, 10% of the ballots were rejected for various reasons. “…Most commonly, officials did not count ballots because the signature on the ballot did not match the one on file, the ballot arrived too late or the required certificate was not enclosed…”. Imagine this same issue in a national election.

And this does not include the suspicions among voting blocks, noticeable problems currently with the U.S. Postal service as a whole. Americans have noticed a slowdown in delivery time, which has even prompted Democrats to question if USPS can handle the extra of mail that will ensue…

… yet they still insist on a national vote by mail - in less than 90 days.

The Coming Lockdown.

In Nevada, the Carson City legislature joined 7 other states in passing a law that sends mail-in-ballots to all “registered voters” in the state. This is, of course due to the concern over the Covid-19 pandemic, where as some-predicted, the number of casualties will continue to rise real or inflated)…until those advocating mail-in-voting will attempt to remove the option of voting in person.

After all, it will only “make sense” due to “…an over-abundance of caution”. Between the poll worker and the secretary-of-state, someone will state the unwillingness and/or the inability to staff polling places due to the pandemic. At which point, mail-in-voting will be the only, and “convenient” option.

… at which point, your vote has been literally nullified. And your election process has become federalized (courtesy of the U.S. Postal Service)

When you think of mail-in-voting, 3 words should be burned in your memory: chain-of-custody. This is what your vote will be lacking. Just think in this highly polarized political environment, how many hands will touch your ballot before it’s actually counted – if it ever gets counted. Voters on both sides of the political isle should be concerned.

 A Proactive Response.

Referring to the second protocol I mentioned in Part 1 of “How to Defeat Mail-In-Voting”, here’s a Question: When there are long lines at the supermarket, what action does a store manager take?

Answer: Open up more checkout lanes.

This is the proper answer to voting during a pandemic. If social distancing is required, having more polling stations (not less) is the answer. Instead of one polling place in the ward/precinct, how about 3 or 4 (or more) to get people in and out faster?

The response will be “we just don’t have enough people to staff that increase in polling stations”. This is where you come in. Call your local board of elections. Call your local party committee. You want to work the primary (if any) and the general election. You may need to go to a training class. In most cases up to this year, they are ALWAYS looking for more people. No doubt, you’ll have a few scared off because of the virus.

Also contact your local party officials with this idea. In the Nevada case, the President is considering a lawsuit (related to my 3rd protocol). Question is, why aren’t local officials suing? Answer: Because as predicted, they are doing as expected: Waiting for someone else to do something instead of taking the initiative.

Here’s another idea: If you do not trust the results of a mail-in-ballot election (and you have every reason not to), start a petition demanding an in-person option, and the reasons for doing it. Get as many signatures as possible. If the number of signatures in a given precinct are more than half the number that voted, you may have a winning case in court to throw out all the ballots from that precinct.

Also, if/when your option to vote in-person is totally removed (i.e. mail-in only), I would suggest those that oppose set up their own polling stations. If we take the risks to go shopping, we can risk going to the polls for one day. Folks can get together with the local party committee, then agree on a location, the rules, and how to validate a true voter. If the election board won’t give you the names of the registered voters, one of the candidates running for Congress has access to that information.

From my experience. I would trust valid government identification along with a recent utility bill or bank statement as proper identification. Play it by ear. How do you make the polling place virus safe? Follow the same protocols as the supermarket. But yes, you’ll have to fight through the pandemic fear that at least some are clearly intent on hyping up to election time and beyond.

Or, if all of this seems like a bit much, go ahead with mail-in-voting. If you don’t like the outcome, and/or thinks one side cheated, not to worry; you can just vote them out at the next mail-in-voting election, right?

… think about that.

Know this: the nightmare of Mail-in-Voting is not going to fix itself. And no one man – not even the President of the United States can defeat it alone. This is an epic battle. Losing can mean the loss of democracy in this Republic if no action is taken. It will require us to do the un-expected – get out of our comfort zone and confront the threat staring us in the face. So talk to your party officials. More importantly – talk with your neighbors. You’ll be surprise on how many share the same concerns; wondering if and when someone is going to do something about it.

It’s time, America. And that someone you're waiting for is looking at you in then mirror.

Mail in voting is too ad hoc to do now. There is no means of validation and thus premature to implement.

Current practice where voters appear in person, are looked up on printed lists, are acknowledged for identity and address, and sign, confirming their presence and thus their individual vote at the polling place, is a strong means of vote validation.

Until a robust validation method is determined for mail in voting it cannot be implemented.

If voting is am important as it is to get into a Trader Joe's and waiting in line while wearing a mask and suffering in 90 degree heat then, they can set up lines and everyone gets to vote

Fight mail in voting all you want to, but have a plan B in case you lose. Plan B is too have good controls on place that take effect if mail in voting occurs.

Here's a link that shows how prevalent vote by mail elections already are:

PDJT may have a plan for mail-in-voting.
In reversal, Trump urges Floridians to vote by mail

Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government desperate Democrats home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a "third term" in office imo.

If crowding is the issue (covid), make a one time special exception and hold voting over a 72 hour period. 3 full 24 hour days. Shut the country down for voting. It’s that important!

And at the very least, run your own ballot to a secure BOE drop box, or if your city is strife-torn, to your P.O., the idea being to shorten that chain of custody as much as possible.

Florida’s “vote-by-mail” scheme is actually a wildly popular absentee balloting system, which Trump inaccurately described as “vote-by-mail” in a recent press conference.

Pray.

Pray more.

Then pray more.

We need the hand of God to move to defeat this.

A question for all. In your state, do the return envelopes for absentee ballots show the party affiliation of the voter?

I am fully expecting a disaster in November. It could be a major trigger to societal violence.

We all have seen mail-in voting is chaotic, and imagine if Trump has a lead in the evening of Nov. 3? Blue state districts, their politicians will declare “count every vote.” Activist judges will get involved at all levels. Ballots will continue to appear after November 3. Standards will become effectively non-existent.

States must certify results by early December. Electoral college must announce results by December 14. Congress has to certify results by January 6, 2021. I easily see these deadlines not being met.

I think crowding is not the only issue. It can hang in the air for a long time, especially in an eclosed environment. So 6 feet won’t protect you. And masks are limited protection.

I voted early in the primary and was able to vote Thursday morning in a room with 4 other people wearing masks.

I plan to vote early in the general election too.

I’m thinking courts will force many places to hold mail in voting. And there is insufficient time to prepare. Controls, staffing, post office capacity, funds for mailing, counting machines, etc. It’s going to be a mess.

On the bright side, Democrats respect this virus a lot more than Republicans. So all things being equal, Republican turn out should be higher in a vote in person scenario.

As someone once said, if I had a lottery ticket that won a huge amount of money, I wouldn’t mail it in to collect on it, I would take it in person to collect.

Gay massage parlors are essential. Liquor stores are essential. Schools and voting, not so much.

Trump is taking NV to court for Governor's EO making Mail-in ballots the norm, side-stepping Secy of State and Dept. of Elections -- process reports to the Governor directly. Governor declared a state of emergency to do this.

Well lookee that: State of Emergency declared, Executive order over-rides traditional "administrative" aspect of election, Voting practice policy changed with the scribble of a pen. Hmmmm.

Trump "trumps" this action using Supremacy clause with a Federal EO that not only requires Voter ID, but invalidates Mail-in voting everywhere across the board, as an electoral Civil Rights enforcement issue -- one has no provenance for Mail-in votes.

The civil rights of those casting legitimate ballots is offended with Mail-in ballots which have no provenance.

But some have said: "Well if Trump is not elected that means Pence is not either and on Jan 21, the third in line -- the Speaker of the House -- becomes a kind of President Pro Tempore. We will be ruled by Pelosi who will manipulate an election thrown now into the House!"

To which I say, not quite.

On what basis is Pelosi the speaker in Jan 2021? Her term as Speaker ends and she has to be re-installed by a new Congress, but that is true only if all House races are decided. If all Mail-in ballots have not been counted, by what authority does she remain as Speaker?

This is Constitutional crises time.

Only executive intervention by way of delaying elections (Directive 51) is possible in advance of the election to try to rectify the situation. This could be Trump playing "chicken" with Pelosi to see who blinks (we know who does, don't we?)

In fact if Mail-in ballots are still outstanding, her election to anything is also in question.

Mail-in ballots will have to be discounted on an Equal Protection XIV Amendment Civil Rights basis. No provenance, therefore, no assurance that any were cast legitimately.

Legal theory: Illegitimate votes dilute legitimate votes -- voting rights distorted = Civil Rights issue. DOJ assures electoral integrity and settles Civil Rights cases. The ball is back in the Executive Branch's court either way.

Even if CA managed to count all its ballots and other States had not, the 2020 election could not be decided because electors can't be certified simply on the basis of how CA voted. Again, it is a XIV issue.

Mail-in balloting is a death match. It is a purposeful action by one party to try to take over the entire system of government by theft. But in this way and on this occasion the fraudulent attempt is there for all to see.

It is my belief it will not end well for those pushing to distort the election process.

Interesting times.

It’s about time the GOP thought outside the box. We will never win again if we don’t.

FReegards!
