Mitch McConnell Won’t Fight To Impeach Biden – Says He ‘Is Not Going To Be Removed From Office’
The Political Insider ^ | 9.2.21 | John Hanson

On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that he and his party would not fight to impeach President Joe Biden and said Republicans should focus more on the midterm election.

McConnell argued that it’s better to wait and vote – and that impeachment won’t happen because Democrats are in charge.

“Well, look, the president is not going to be removed from office,” McConnell said at a Kentucky event. “There’s a Democratic House, a narrowly Democratic Senate. That’s not going to happen.”

And you think that will happen? How?

I am trying to be optimistic, but I recognize that what's happening at a very real level is the destruction of a nation. Ultimately we will have to sustain long-term plans to fix what the left has done. They think in 10 to 50 year increments. We need to do the same.

I’m no fan of Mitch but good grief, the Dems control both Houses. Can’t impeach him until the Pubbies at least take back the House. At that time, they should absolutely impeach him. The Dems started the impeachment nonsense with Trump and unless the Pubs do the same, they will never stop.

Yah, yah, the votes aren’t there. But with McConnell, neither is the will.

Impeachment is a complete non-issue while the democrats control the House. Biden could be caught in bed with a dead girl and a live boy and billions of dollars embezzled from the treasury and he would not be impeached.

If the Republicans retake the House in the 2020 election then impeachment will at least become a theoretical possibility. Conviction in the Senate will still never happen unless conservatives win a supermajority in the Senate. That would take at least three elections, since only 1/3 of the Senators are up for election every two years.

Realistically, our best case scenario will be for the Republicans to retake control of the House and Senate next year, to increase their majorities in 2024, and to elect a conservative President in 2024. They will then have two years to undo everything that the democrats do to us while they control the federal government.

Typo. I wrote 2020 when I meant 2022.

Wrong - the dem votes were there to impeach Trump, just not to convict him. We don’t have the votes to even impeach him. Patience, grasshopper.

“Kentucky, please rid yourselves of this pathetic POS.”

I voted for this guy every time, sent him money, made phone calls etc. but have seen the light. The problem, in reality, Mitch has been the most effective Republican in DC for years. The accomplishments of denying Obama Merrick Garland and what few actual constitutionalist judges Trump nominated are’t bad. Name another Republican, including Trump, who has accomplished more that still stands today. I despise McConnell but have no way to rid Kentucky of him now. Since McConnell is the best they’ve got, I say, “America, please rid yourselves of this pathetic POS Republican Party”. What part do you disagree with?

Kentucky will probably vote in that governor they have when Mcconnell retires. I’m sure you’ll be thrilled.

Hate it or like it, neither Congress nor the Senate has enough votes to impeach or convict. Different members of Congress can put as many papers as they want into the record, but it won’t do any good while Nanzi is there.

The 2021 elections in VA and CA are the thing we have to focus on now, with the 2022 elections next year.

The family of Mrs. Mitch McConnell, a.k.a., Elain Chao, owns one of the largest businesses in China.

Mitch has a vested interest in keeping China-loving Biden in office. (I’d say, “China bought-and-paid-for Joe Biden”, but it sounds too Hannity-ish.)

why can’t the ameboid Republicans impeach Biden, Harris, Milley and Austin—throw Pelousy in, too—for heinous dereliction of duty directly costing American lives and great harm to the American people in general?

Well, for one thing, they don't have the votes - but understand, it's not ONLY because they are the minority.

I bet there are not 100 House Republicans or ten Republican Senators who would vote for an impeachment resolution, because MOST ELECTED REPUBLICANS SUPPORTED THE STEAL, SUPPORT BIDEN, AND WILL SUPPORT KAMALA HARRIS ONCE SHE IS SWORN IN.

The GOP is not what you think it is.

The advantage of talking about impeachment is it puts the opposition off stride. They have to spend time and effort discussing instead of other stupid laws.
