Joe Biden’s self-inflicted wound praising segregationists led to the sharpest criticism from his fellow Democrats in this still-young campaign season. For the former vice president, the blunder was the equivalent of an own goal in soccer. Comments at closed-door fundraisers should never drive news cycles. They are entirely avoidable. For his opponents, it was an easy lay-up in their quest to bring the frontrunner down to earth.
In a road this long and winding, the brouhaha could soon be overwhelmed by events. The situation with Iran appears to be worsening, and next week will be dominated by the two-night presidential debate fireworks. But there are longer-term implications from Biden’s head-scratcher, the biggest of which being the undeniable comparisons between Biden’s bid and the last failed Democratic candidate, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Both Clinton and Biden sought to be the standard bearer of a party that had moved past their brand of politics. The 1990s era culture of triangulation and a pro-business Democratic Party that Biden and Clinton thrived in have been replaced by a 2019 edition more focused on ideological purity and identity politics....

It might better be described as a far left circus and every one of them appears to have major baggage.
This Biden - corruption scandal is going to have legs. It really looks very bad and smells worse.
This is why I say he is just warming Her seat. He will win enough primaries to open a majority of delegates at the convention for Her to claim, after one of his many scandals suddenly becomes a big deal out of nowhere and “forces” him to step aside.
If you’ve been following The Maladventures of Her, you know Her still wants the Presidency, and as badly as ever. Her ain’t getting younger, and knows actual voters could reject Her, so this is Her scheme.
And of course Her will kill anyone else who threatens to get in the way, that goes without saying.
Big difference will be that JB will not still be in the race when the prinaries begin. He will be gone when the swamp is drained, happening soon!

If Biden were a lot smarter, I’d suspect he knows that the “Hunter” financial scandals are driven by his candidacy, and is therefore engineering alternate reasons to drop out. C’mon Joe, betcha can’t praise George Wallace and Lester Maddox in the same sentence.

I don’t think the DNC would allow Michelle Obama to be the nominee—guaranteed loser. Less likeable than Hillary, no public offices, no accomplishments. The base may still like Barry but how do you get 45% plus of the public (allowing for third party candidates to draw off some votes) to vote for Michelle?
Knowing how liberals think and behave, I wouldn’t call it eerie. It’s not surprising to me.
