Ohio officials have discovered 588 uncounted votes in this weeks special election for the 12th Congressional District, further tightening the already too-close-to-call race.
The votes from a portion of one voting location had not been processed into the tabulation system, the Franklin County Board of Elections said in a press release Wednesday. The uncounted votes were from a Columbus suburb.
Prior to the discovery, Republican Troy Balderson led Democrat Danny OConnor by more than 1,700 votes. With the 588 votes included, the margin narrows to 1,564, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
President Donald Trump prematurely declared victory for Balderson on Tuesday night....

Invalidate any vote that was not presented for counting when the polls closed.
A BIG LIE !
Prior to the discovery, Republican Troy Balderson led Democrat Danny OConnor by more than 1,700 votes. With the 588 votes included, the margin narrows to 1,564, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
“Daggumit, I said make up 1,588 ballots not 588.”
Looks like they have to find some more votes.
“You can bet that at least 90% of those newly found ballots are marked for the Democrat.”
Count is in I believe but only less than 200 for the Dem. It’s not going to offset all the absentees and provisionals from the mostly Republican areas.
Everyone sit back and relax.
That's right-INVALIDATE !
Correction: Only Trump and republican VOTERS are fed up.
Is Speaker Ryan going to order an investigation if Dem wins? Refuse to allow him to be seated ? Leave seat vacant until November .
And, by sheer coincidence, they were from the only county the Democrat won.
Not hyperbole, we should start hanging people who engage in these shenanigans.
OF COURSE! Didn’t we predict this would happen yesterday?
Just like clockwork, right on time.
If my precinct was not to report in within a reasonable time after poll closing, I would be expected to call in with the reason. This actually happened once because someone was not there to lock up the polling place.
Within minutes, they gave me the OK to bring everything in and leave the place unlocked. Were I not to show up with my precinct results, they would send the constable to arrest me.
The other poll workers are to sign off the results on the readout tape and post them in the front window of our polling location to prevent these type of shennagins. When 100% of precincts are reported in, no other ballots other than the provisional and absentees (as deemed eligible) are to be counted. At least, that's the way things work in a Pennsylvania country bordering the county (Allegheny) with our 2nd largest city (Pittsburgh).
Maybe, maybe not... but honestly you want to be upset, be upset the GOP keeps refusing to learn the lessons of trump and running campaigns like they did before he won and expect to win... this Kik PA 18 should have never been close...
But you simply talk to your rabid base and thin you will win?
Not going to happen. DEMS consistently showing 90% presidential year turnouts while GOP isnt even getting mid term turnouts.. and they expect to win?
Stupid
Where are these "uncounted votes" coming from, and what's the chain of custody for the ballots?
What's the betting line that they will continue to "find" "uncounted votes" until the dem moves ahead, and then stop?
And we get this “vote, vote vote” nonsense, why exactly? So Democrats can empty the graveyards, claim ninety percent turnout in a special election, and then find more boxes afterwards. What a scam.
Well, Go-o-o-o-l-l-l-y, where did those votes come from ???
Vote fraud does not exist. Laws designed to deter vote fraud and safeguard ballot integrity are racist.
So the Democrats engaging in vote fraud keep telling us.
Where I work election day in NJ, many years now, there are always party reps who see the print outs when machine is closed and call results in to HQ. Can even take photos. Each results copy is signed by the 4 board workers.
All results are brought to city hall along with all voting materials
