Why are Democrats losing in the heartland? Here are some ideas

DES MOINES, IOWA — The Democrats who gathered here for a day of fairly anguished strategizing about what they’d have to do to win back rural voters did not speak kindly of their own national leadership or reputation or behavior.

Over and over, during a seminar called “Winning Back the Heartland,” they bemoaned the condescending way some of their fellow Democrats talk about their fellow Midwesterners, particularly those who live in small towns.

“We forgot how to talk to folks, and when we did, we often talked down,” said Tom Vilsack, the former agriculture secretary under President Barack Obama and former Iowa governor, who won 67 of the state’s 99 counties during his last election in 2002, a state that’s now increasingly red.

Vilsack said he often hears Democrats assume that of course rural Americans serve in the military in disproportionate numbers because they want to get away. When the real reason, as he sees it, is that farmers know better than anyone that you can’t keep taking and taking from the land without giving something back to it, so they get in a way that others don’t how important and necessary a thing it is to give back to our country through service.....

I have a friend who used to do platform work for the demoncraps at the Texas state convention. He is now a Republican. But what converted him was his experience on the committee. He realized that the one kind of person that the dems dislike the most are straight white men. Can’t have much of a party when straight white men are dissed bigtime.

Democrats in Chicago think that rural and small town people are stupid. Southern people are stupid too. Democrats assume that folks out side of the cities are racist because they are stupid. And with some education they can be changed to understand that global warming is real, Hillary really knows more about governing so just vote for her. And that there should be an IQ test for voting. But because there isn’t. We should make sure the schools teach democrat values so future generations know how to vote. We live among them and at every party this is the theme.

years ago I realized that the crazy extremists in the democrat party scared me more then the crazy extremists in the republican party. the reason being in the demacrat party they make policy for the party in the republican party they tend to be ignored.

That was the reason I became a republican to the shock of my parents. who hated the Regan revolution.

1. Support for racist organizations like BLM.
2. Disrespecting and destroying the US Flag.
3. Perversion and subversion posing as art.
4. Pushing lies as if facts -- AGW being the worst.
5. Polluting the airwaves with a steady stream of partisan piss, in order to (in the term coined by the despicable leftist, Noam Chomsky) "manufacture consent".
6. Partisan Media Shills, including but not limited to tax-supported NPR and PBS.
7. Abortion on demand.
8. Wide-open, genderless restrooms.
9. Lawfare against Christians, particularly Christians in business.
10. Replacement of the Ten Commandments with statues of Baphomet.
11. Trying to end-run the First Amendment with bull**** like "zero tolerance policies", "diversity", "inclusiveness".
12. Crushing US industries.
13. Creating US unemployment.
14. Destabilizing the country and the economy with millions of illegals, many of whom are criminals.
15. Using DNC-run front orgs like the ACLU and SPLC to conduct lawfare against US citizens.
16. Destroying public schools.
17. Raising taxes.
18. Lying about the nature of tax reform / tax cuts.

It’s this simple: we love our country and the Dems do not. That divide isn’t going to be bridged by smooth talk and clever pandering, because the message “America is evil and we’re going to change it fundamentally into something more to our liking and you’re in the way” is always going to founder in the face of “God Bless America”.

Middle America can flip over a newborn animal and tell if it’s a boy or a girl...they cannot.

That is another hateful aspect of Middle America. The next democrat in our White House will issue an executive order barring people from gendering newborn animals until they see where that individual animal chooses to identify on the gender-fluid spectrum, and barring them from assuming that any animal's chosen gender identity is fixed for life or even from one moment to the next. That will show those hicks that democrats care about Middle America and even about our livestock.

It was off the cuff. However, I think the Dems have left us more legitimate reasons to not vote for them than the number of fake excuses Hillary has told us why she lost the election. In other words, it is a HUGE number of reasons why Dems have lost touch.
