Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) said this afternoon that he now sees Robert Mueller's Russia investigation as a probe into possible "treason."
Kaine and others on Capitol Hill reacted this afternoon to the latest revelations about a meeting last June between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer.
Earlier today, Trump Jr. released what he said was the “entire email chain” of conversations setting up the meeting with attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya.
In the email chain, Trump Jr. expresses interest in obtaining damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Kaine, who was Clinton's running mate last year, said the new reports take the probe to another level....

There’s no way DJT Jr. Is going to release this without it being part of an offense strategy. The lawyer was only admitted in thanks to the Obama administration. then the encounter was used for FISA and caused the tapping which then began the leaking.

Looking at the Twitter post by Don Jr. and the law, I don’t see that a crime took place here. Nothing of value was exchanged at the meeting - the lawyer had nothing. You can’t prove a crime based on wishes.
The worrisome part of the email is reference by the go-between that (1) the lawyer he will meet is with the Russian government and (2) Russian gov’t is trying to help Trump.
This likely was a honey pot set up by our Deep State to open the door for Obama to spy on Trump’s campaign.
The meeting amounted to nothing, but it opened the door to spying on Don Jr and all the players cc’ed on the email.
I don’t think he’s off the deep end. I think he’s scared ****less. And now I’m even more interested in what Kaine was doing in Halifax.

Mueller will try for Jr.’s scalp. A perjury trap is being set and they will get a conviction. If POTUS pardons him, then impeachment will follow.

No, this is not treason, even if there were collusion, even if there was something to it. What it is though, you and your ignorant cohorts are involved in sedition. One of your cohorts continues to try to block the imposition of an alien embargo on certain countries. The matter was decided by the supreme ct. He persists from his AG spot in Hawaii. As you know, your ilk always says things like Roe are settled law. Well, so it this. I view these continued attempts to get new matters into court as obstruction. Inasmuch as this is a court matter, I believe the SC should issue disbarment proceedings against the AG. Once found in contempt he should be disbarred and if he persists, he can join you in GITMO till the SC takes up the first matter in the fall.
Well, we can HOPE this will be a major theme of the Dims in the 2018 and 2020 elections.
