Joe Biden should announce he’s running for president in 2020. Right now.
Democrats need a singular voice representing the party. And as we saw in the recent Georgia special congressional election, that voice should not be Nancy Pelosi.
Cut the coy. Cut the Mario Cuomo routine. Just throw down Joe. You know you want to.
If you announce now, the next two years become a debate between you and Donald Trump. You become the shadow president.
You’ve earned it. You deserve it. You regret you didn’t run last time. Because you’d probably be president right now. Beating Hillary in the primary would have been tough, but if you had, you sure as hell would have had a compelling economic message in the general election in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin for those lunch bucket voters you know so well. And, therefore, would have won.
Every elected Democrat with an ounce of ambition is positioning themselves to run. But it's just creating 100 Davids against the one Goliath in DC. There is a lot of potential talent coming up through the ranks, but if you’ve got an old Babe Ruth hanging around the locker room, put him on the field. More importantly, a Biden candidacy now could eliminate, at least temporarily, the emerging rift between progressives and centrists. Biden has respect and credibility from both camps. And he could keep that fight from spilling over into a civil war that could kill chances for 2018 and 2020.
Democrats need a Goliath of their own to focus and dominate the message. And Joe, you’re it.....

We know who/what McCain is. But what is amazing to watch is that these GOPe consultants - the Rick Wilsons and the Mark McKinnons are openly siding with Democrats and hoping for Trump’s downfall. To me the article is not about Joe Biden’s possible run . It’s the degree of hatred the GOP establishment feels for Trump. The more Trump wins, the more miserable and unhinged these people become and I so, so enjoy watching them suffer.

Joe isn't likeable at all. One of his first votes as a Senator was to cut off all funding to South Vietnam and Cambodia, leading to the Communist takeover of those countries and the ensuing Killing Fields.
He was part of the Ted Kennedy cabal that tried to stab Reagan in the back all through the Cold War.
He would speak nicely to Clarence Thomas in person, but would dog him in public and then voted "NO", trying to politically lynch him.
Slow Joe has been wrong on every foreign policy issue the US has had the past 45 years. He's a sorry, venal, creepy old man.

I watched a video of Biden, outside the Capitol, interrogating someone who was protesting something. He was threatening and downright mean.
That's why the magic in the ticket will be the VP nomination. How crazy will they get with this one? Lizzy? The Castro brothers? Clown Kaine? Chelsea? Snoop Dogg?

The 'incentive pattern' for consultants is to find attractive milquetoast candidates who are smart enough to win and raise large sums of money AND submissive enough to allow consultants to spent millions and millions of dollars on expensive TV ads.
Consultants ARE the reason we have so many superficial spineless reps in Congress.
IT'S ALSO WHY CONSULTANTS HATE TRUMP. Trump ran without consultants in charge... and he set the stage for other competent citizens to run for office - - men and women with ideas and positions - - citizens NOT submissive to consultants. Citizens who are NOT milquetoast. They hate him - democrat and republican consultants because Trump could change the type of person who runs for office... and take down the power of 'consultants' at the same time. They will go from 'being in charge' to being hired employees. Massive incentive change.
