Why did Trump "let" Cruz Speak, if he knew he would not endorse? Cruz had majorities in enough delegations to have had his name placed in nomination and to have forced a roll call vote (and to have avoided the RNC nullifying his DC and Utah votes by declaring them votes for Trump "because the candidate had not been nominated"). I'm convinced that there was the deal.. not have himself nominated and get to speak to the convention.
Erik Erikson has tweeted that the Trumpers orchestrated the booing in advance. Others have written that Trump is more interested in "getting even" with primary opponents than in winning in November.
We have to beat Hillary, but I have concerns that with Trump we'll have someone as mean spirited an vindictive as she is. How will he govern? Prayer is the only answer at this point.
Cruz Bush Romney and Kasich likely all never played little league ball where you learn sportsmanship and being gracious in defeat. I think the requirement for running for president should include having learned certain life lessons as kids.
Nicely played
Yup. He even ma’am aged to make Herman Cain not like him. And that requires effort
Pretty sure that Trump attacked Heidi after Cruz attacked Melania. That photo of Melania came from someone on Cruz’s team, and he didn’t denounce it at all.
Recognize the problem and think I found the solution. All this crankiness/crabbiness is sending a loud and clear signal that the Cruzer is in the wrong gender. He needs to trans immediately so that as he ages people will understand that he’s only being herself; the spinster Auntie who never liked boys. Hey, it’s worth a try.
More like
the spinster Auntie, who no one ever liked.
If they truly believe that, then they have no idea what winning is and how much Trump likes to win.
Small minded people always view getting even as the end goal
Large minded people see winning as the goal...
AND that winning is the ultimate of getting even.
What you said reminds me of Abraham Lincoln’s strategy in bringing a team of rivals to his cabinet. NOTE: I did not say Trump was Lincoln, so spare me, please.
lol...+1.
Mean spirited? I think not. It is way past time that leftist globalists and their like feel anxious. Obama admin has persecuted far too many conservatives through the IRS, campaign donation issues etc. some turn about is long over due, and Hillary - I hope you go to jail!
The GOPe establishment wanted to get to get rid of Cruz as well. The top three were Trump, Carson & Cruz during the campaign and in the polls. This was a nightmare for establishment uniparty republicans.
GOPe - establishment is not behind Trump.
“I have personally known 3 people like Cruz-power mad, selfish pricks who will quite literally do anything to get what they want. Revenge should be their middle names=that, or cruel. Theyre charming, well-spoken, and, unfortunately, as far as I know, still alive.
Thats how I spotted Cruz fairly early on, though not until I, too, had been favorably impressed.
Such people are to be avoided. They use others mercilessly, and will leave footprints on your back and the taste of Sulphur in your nostrils.”
Exactly, been there.
Bingo...
Hey Tedd! Boooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
When Trump is elected as president, Cruz being your senator will get you nothing. Cruz can be a lone wolf in the senate and he can call the Oval Office and he'll get voice mail. He has no political capital. he's a lame duck/dead duck. He might as well spend the remaining time of his term sitting in his office, cutting out paper dolls.
He invited all his former rivals to speak with no requirement of endorsement. The smart ones endorsed. The dumber ones stayed home. The self serving smarmy dickweeds spoke and refused to endorse.
Me too I couldn't believe it...
Heck I would have been fine with “I support his run for President” didnt even have to be an endorsement, just a tip of the hat and a “We must defeat Hillary Clinton” would have been good enough for me
Whenever Ted proposes or promises anything, the response will always be,
"Lyin' Ted can't be trusted to do what he promises to do, even when the fate of the Nation is obviously at stake".
