The liberal wing of the Democratic Party is gaining strength, and asserting its power.
When Hillary Clinton formally claims the Democratic Partys presidential nomination this summer in Philadelphia, she will inherit a party in the throes of a revolution one in which her side seems likely to lose in the long term.
The upheaval has been decades in the making, as the party has evolved from choosing relative centrist nominees such as Bill Clinton, Al Gore and John Kerry over more liberal contenders, to Barack Obama, who positioned himself to the left of Hillary Clinton in 2008. Now, even while Clinton appears set to win the Democratic nomination this year, she has faced an unexpectedly difficult challenge from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the farthest-left Democratic candidate to seriously vie for the nomination in decades....

Relative to what? Tell me one way that a Gore administration in 2017 would differ from Obama's third term. Ditto a Kerry administration, or a Mrs Bill Clinton administration.
This is not an ideological revolution. It is a socialist power competition, the Clinton mob vs. the Obama mob, with Bernie the useful idiot being used by Obama to take down Clinton. It's more like Khrushchev vs. Beria after Stalin.
I hope it is fiercely brutal with nothing held back!
The miscalculation they made was this: on the GOP side, the guy who won all the primaries is getting the nomination. On the dem side, the guy who won all the primaries is NOT getting the nomination. Which side is more likely to result in hard feelings amongst the rank and file?
Remember when Communists were the bad guys?
Today we elect them to high office.
Yep, it is ironic, that the “Democratic” party, is distinctly “undemocratic” in their processes for choosing their nominee.
People get to vote in primaries, true enough, but the “superdelegates” are always out there, ready to have veto over the people’s choice. Or tip the balance one way or another, based on back room dealing. How “democratic” is that, for a party which prides itself as being the party of the people and eschewing politcal back room dealing???
Hillary and her ilk know that the far left is insane, but they’ve been coddling them as an attack dog to turn loose when it’s convenient. Problem is the dog has now gotten too strong for its chains. You reap what you sow.
They’re learning that having a plan to ride a tiger is not the same as riding a tiger.
Unless you're talking Obama's cadre of caddies, I don't think there's any Obama mob. Bernie represents the mass of liberals who are eager for what they elected Obama to do, turn this country into a socialist utopia. They also remember the Arkansas (Dixie) mob and how long it took to get them out of every nook and cranny they crawled into during Bill's time of being Monica's boyfriend.
Calling these people Obama's Mob is giving Obama yet again credit for something he couldn't be bothered doing.
“I hope it is fiercely brutal with nothing held back!”
I’m saying it first: The Battle of Philadelphia!!!
Yep. Let them turn the democrat run cities into cesspools (as most are already). I just pray the historical places are spared.
Sad but if Independence Hall were to burn I’d expect the Democrats in that city to stand back and watch.
I want this civil war to be fought with belt fed weapons. I will personally kick in for some ammo.
Liberal Wing?
That would be the right wing of the Democrat Party. The ‘Left’ wing of the Democrats are Communist Loonies.
