OSCEOLA, Ind. Ted Cruz is arguing he still has a path to Republican presidential nomination, even if he loses the primary here Tuesday as expected.
Absolutely, but we intend to do everything possible to win tomorrow, the U.S. senator from Texas told reporters Monday after a stop in this town in northern Indiana.
I am in for the distance, Cruz later said. As long as we have a viable path to victory, I am competing to the end.
I wonder what he considers a viable path??
Hillary’s surrogate telling it like it is.
He just wants to be that flattened road kill under the wheel in the final stretch of the road.
Bye bye political career.
Distance as measured from the oval office, I suppose...
More like in the distance
Love that “Dumb and Dumber” clip.
The widely-celebrated Big Brain of Ted Cruz is severely under-performing on the question of how best to further the Political Career of Ted Cruz.
In other words, if he was half as smart as his worshipers told us he was, he would have dropped out months ago.
the path he needs to be concerned with is back to Texas where he can look for a real job.
He has to keep telling his faithful follower’s this to keep the money coming in.
As they speed through the primaries, the poll numbers go down
The Cruz fans get up and they get out of town
The rally halls are empty except for one man
Still driving and striving as fast as he can
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
And long ago Donald TRUMP left with the cup
But he’s driving and striving and hugging the turns
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns
He’s going the distance, he’s going for speed
Heidi’s all alone, all alone in her time of need
Because he’s racing and pacing and plotting the course
He’s fighting and biting and riding on his horse
He’s going the distance
No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine
He’s haunted by something he cannot define
Bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse
Trump assailed him, impaled him with monster-truck force
In Ted’s mind, he’s still driving, still making the grade
Carly’s hoping in time that her memories will fade
‘Cause he’s racing and pacing and plotting the course
He’s fighting and biting and riding on his horse
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
And long ago Donald Trump left with the cup
But Ted’s striving and driving and hugging the turns
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns
‘Cause he’s going the distance, he’s going for speed
Heidi’s all alone, all alone in her time of need
Because he’s racing and pacing and plotting the course
He’s fighting and biting and riding on his horse
He’s racing and pacing and plotting the course
He’s fighting and biting and riding on his horse
He’s going the distance, he’s going for speed
He’s going the distance
He cannot win so why is he staying?
Is he being paid off by someone thinking that Cruz will hobble Trump somehow?
Ted just contradicted himself in the same sentence—if he was really in it for the distance he wouldn’t worry about silly stuff like viable paths.
A good possibility, if he continues with his campaign after losing Indiana it becomes a considerably better possibility.
I agree with you...how can he justify having a chance of a victory? Only one way, and I don’t want to print it on this board.
What’s the worst thing that could happen. Cruz is an ineligible, lying, megalomaniac of the most dangerous kind.
True that is.........
The convention not having selected a nominee.
He's mathematically eliminated now, and still sees a viable path to the nomination. I don't see why having a presumptive nominee would necessarily cause him to have a change of heart.
Gut-check time for the RNC comes for sure on June 7th. I don't picture the Bush or Romney families allowing the party to treat Trump as the presumptive nominee between June 7th and the convention. Their heels are dug in, hard.
I don't know. He's not in it "for the people," and maybe his paymaster requires him to behave this way.
