John Kasich: GOP 'going to get creamed' if Trump or Cruz nominee
CNN Politics ^ | 04/20/2016 | By Eli Watkins

(CNN) — Ohio Gov. John Kasich met with Republican Party insiders on Wednesday as he seeks to convince them his competitors would "get creamed" in the general election.

"They want to make sure they pick somebody who can win in the fall," Kasich said Wednesday on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront." "If we pick these two guys, according to virtually all the polls, we are going to get creamed."

Kasich was referring to his primary opponents: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Republican National Committee members gathered in Florida this week as the focus on the party's nominating convention intensifies. Each of the GOP campaigns were set to make their own pitches at the gathering, with Kasich and Cruz making theirs personally.

"I don't think the Republicans want to pick somebody who has no appeal to independents and no appeal to conservative Democrats. That's what my appeal is," Kasich said.

Following Trump's win in New York, Cruz has joined Kasich in being mathematically eliminated from securing the nomination ahead of the convention, a CNN analysis shows.

Kasich also touted his performance in the New York primary relative to Cruz, calling the Texas senator's gain's "pretty anemic."

As for his own performance in the New York contest, Kasich quipped, "I won Manhattan. Maybe I can go for mayor."

Mr Kasich. You make our skin crawl. Conservatives won’t vote for you even more than they didn’t vote for Romney. Democrats will circle the wagons around Hillary, even if Bernie people say they won’t. Trump will lose every state. Cruz will be challenged but he’s the only one with the verbal acuity to sock it to Hillary in debates. He’s the only one with a chance. Nice job, Republicans.

"If we pick these two guys, according to virtually all the polls, we are going to get creamed."

So sez the guy who gets creamed every time there is a primary.

Hey, John, that’s why they said we had to nominate Dole. And that’s why they said we had to nominate McCain. And that’s why they said we had to nominate Romney. And that’s why they said we couldn’t nominate Reagan. Do the math, idiot!

Is Kasich crazy? WTF is he doing in the race? It just shows you how detached politicians are from the citizens of the republic. Keep talking, John.

John Kasich could not be more excited for this year’s election calendar to reach July where he predicts there will be a contested convention.

In an interview Sunday with ABC’s “This Week,” Kasich said, “I believe that a convention will look at somebody like me, and that’s why I think I’m going to be the nominee.”

He went on to mention how he was excited for an open convention and the involvement of kids.

“We just have to keep going, and we’re going to have an open convention. It’s going to be so much fun. Kids will spend less time focusing on Bieber and Kardashian and more time focusing on how we elect presidents. It will be so cool.”

Kasich said something very similar about a month ago.

“As crazy as this year is, can you think of anything cooler than a convention?” he said in March.

Here is my view of Kasich:

- Kasich voted for the “Assault” Weapons Ban. https://grabien.com/file.php?id=53463 and as of last year did not regret that vote

- Kasich supported and implemented Obamacare’s Medicare expansion http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/john-kasich-bible-medicaid_us_56140a54e4b022a4ce5fb1e3

- Kasich supports Amnesty for illegals. http://www.ontheissues.org/John_Kasich.htm

- Kasich dismissively said Christian bakers should “bake the cupcake” and participate in a gay parody of the sacrament of marriage, even if it violates their religious beliefs. https://www.frcaction.org/updatearticle/20160225/kasich-pushes

- Kasich supports Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-kasich-id-consider-nominating-merrick-garland-supreme-court-election-2016/

As far as I can tell, those are not old views or comments taken out of context; they are Kasich’s current and consistent positions. Even with the Supreme Court, I would expect his nominees to agree with his positions. I’m not sure how that is significantly different from Hillary’s positions.

John Kasich Salary

The politician earns:
• $250 000 annually,
•$20 900 per month,
•$5 300 weekly,
•$745 every day.

Thanks for the reminder, jokemoke.

Kasich, Cruz, Sanders, Clinton and the rest of the current and former cronies in the gang of 535 should be in federal prison.

They plunder us, dismiss our votes, deceive us to get elected, ignore us once elected. This is the most evil government in the history of our republic.

I have a question:

Considering the pay of a ‘politician’ since he was in D.C. does he still get paid for being there plus his salary as a Gov. of Ohio?

Kasich is comic relief. He is in the race to try and prevent Trump from getting to 1237. But if he hadn’t been in the race Cruz might have picked up enough of the non-Trump delegates that it would still be mathematically possible for him to get a majority before the convention. A lot of people now realize that a vote for Cruz is a vote for a contested convention, this is going to cause many to rethink who they are voting for.

Yes, he does. Once elected, you get the paycheck. You need to show up once every 90 days.
