This is the week that Ted Cruz won the Republican nomination
Red State ^ | April 10, 2016 | Freedoms Truth

Just over a month ago, after Trump’s big win in Nevada and after Cruz’s SEC state southern strategy fell short amidst the Trump tidal wave across the south, it looked like Trump had the momentum to prevail against a fractured field. Trump thought it was over, and was confident enough to hold unifying post-primary press conference events like a President. As more March contests took place however, the persistent overperformance of Cruz (in places like Kansas, Wyoming and Maine) and underperformance of Rubio that led finally to Rubio’s withdrawal after Florida. Despite Kasich staying in, the race has winnowed and clarified to the point where Cruz was finally given his chance to go toe to toe with Trump.

And what happened? While Trump won in Arizona, in part due to early votes in the Arizona primary and a favorable state for his immigration message, since then it’s been Cruz domination:

◾Cruz won Utah with 69% of the vote, sweeping all of Utah’s 40 delegates.
◾Cruz won delegates out of Louisiana that were available.
◾Cruz then won the North Dakota delegate race, taking 18 out of 25 delegates. Trump got only 1 publicly supporting delegate.
◾Cruz won in Wisconsin, getting close to 50% of the vote and winning 36 out of the 42 delegates by winning most Congressional districts, with just 6 delegates for Trump.
◾Cruz won the Colorado delegate selection process, winning all of the delegate races, either with Cruz bound delegates or Cruz-supporting unbound delegates, a total of 34 delegates.
◾Cruz has been winning the ‘other’ nomination race, the race for actual delegates, even when bound to Trump. In places like Georgia, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and many other states. For example, this weekend in Iowa, a CD is sending #CruzCrew delegates to Iowa.

@CCPAC4Cruz 5m5 minutes ago Sweep for #CruzCrew delegates in #IA02 #OnToCleveland

The Colorado win now gives Cruz the 8th states he needs to meet the Rule 40 (b) requirement, adding CO to TX, ME, KS, ID, ND, UT and WI. More importantly, though, from Utah until now Cruz has won the delegate race: 128 delegates for Cruz, 7 delegates for Trump, 0 delegates for Kasich. Cruz is crushing it. The race has become a race for delegate accumulation, and by shutting Trump down in Utah, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Colorado, Cruz has shifted the terrain enough to make it much harder for Trump to get to 1237. Should Cruz keep Trump under 50% in New York, and force a split of New York’s delegates, and have Kasich and Cruz both be over 20%, the split in delegates may be something like: 54 Trump, 11 Kasich, 30 Cruz. Then Trump’s hill will become steep to the point of impossible.

As of right now, The Greenpapers has soft pledged total at:

◾758 Trump
◾533 Cruz
◾732 available (via primaries) to be bound
◾77 unpledged available

Trump needs 65% of the remaining delegates to get to 1237. Should Trump get 50% of the remaining, above the 45% he’s gotten so far, Trump would have 1120 delegates after June 7th. This is why today, PredictIt.org says: “Traders give a brokered convention a 70% chance.”

With Trump’s complete failure to win the delegate race, with him losing steam in primaries and getting punked in almost every caucus and activist-filled GOP convention, it’s become almost a certainty that if Trump can’t get to Cleveland either at or very close to 1237 bound delegates, that he will fail to have sufficient delegates to actually win the nomination.

“The convention is an extension of the democratic process. … I am confident that we are going to win a contested convention.” – Ted Cruz, 4/9/16

Cruz will indeed win the nomination on the second ballot should Trump fail to win it on the first ballot. Victory will go to Cruz, the man who’s run the best campaign and is indeed the best candidate. And history will look back at this week and the Wisconsin victory and other wins this week as the turning point.

Its simple really, The more you learn about Trump and Cruz the less you like Cruz. Hes a fake conservative in the same nature as John Roberts who cloaked himself in the constitution and bible but then acted 180 degrees opposite when it really mattered.

The only thing the Foreign-born Harvard lawyer has been consistent at is selling American out to his wife’s Bank’s globalist agenda.

Globalist are not conservative. Cruz is a proven globalist. Therefore hes not a conservative.

Learn about him.

Bottom line is Nopardons is not a hypocrite like the former birthers for Cruz, but is simply faster on the learning curve then the ones still supporting the GOPe Globalist candidate who is nothing more then a Trojan Horse for a Ryan nomination.

Where is the single, widely accepted definition of natural born citizen in the context of the Presidency?

Vattel’s the Law of Nations, book 1, page 212

What are the legal precedents pertaining to the Presidency?

MINOR V. HAPPERSETT and several others

Yeah, I agree. There is no way I can trust Trump as a conservative anymore when he can’t even get his own campaign platform right during a debate saying that he’s had a change of heart on the matter and thinks immigrants are needed here in many industries.

Cruz may be a slimy bastard, but he’s proven he will go to the wall for conservative principles even if it means the rest of the Senate hates him. That is what we need in 2016. Trump isn’t winning the general anymore. He’s becoming too tainted now through his own actions.

I'm sorry but you wish.

This is a big election issue and an issue for anyone that loves America. If an activist judge can feel free to rewrite the Constitution and interpret it however he pleases we are lost as a Nation and we will go the way of Europe. Under BO we already resemble a Banana Republic where the Law is what I say it is.

Do yourself a favor and look at the number of times there have been resolutions to change the meaning of NBC by Congress in the last 20 years. Congress knows exactly what the meaning of the term is and what the Founder's intent was and the forces that want to cut America down to size and create a North American Union for their profit & control are trying to subvert our Rule of Law.

I repost from another thread the links and relevant matter. The best part is that Congress know full well the definition. They have tried unsuccessfully to change it for the last 19 years which proves their knowledge and intent to subvert the constitution, led by Lawrence Tribe.

Congressional Natural Born Citizen Parts I, II & III: Who Knew What & For How Long?

“The written Constitution ‘floats’ in a vast and deep – and, crucially, invisible – ocean of ideas, propositions, recovered memories, and imagined experiences…

The Invisible Constitution is not simply a mask for imposing a particular ideology on the Constitution, which is what people sometimes think.”…”What I am hoping is that people will come to see that we’re all engaged in the same game and that the political reality of the Constitution, which is not confined to the written text, is an equal-opportunity reality.”

“And I also believe that the Democrats will use teh issue against Ted Cruz, fair or not, should the opportunity arise.

Of course, inasmuch as Cruz is simply a GOPe dupe who will not get the nomination in any event”

You contradict your own argument in subsequent sentences.

That does not make a convincing argument, does it?

“Little Donald looks smaller every day. New York will be his last hurrah, I hope. If not, and he wins the nomination, I will vote Libertarian in the upcoming general election. I am tired of being told, as a conservative, that I have to (yet again) hold my nose and vote for a more liberal nominee like McCain, Romney, any Bush, or this time, Little Donald.”

Unless you are one of the members of the electoral college, you can’t vote for the president.

Please use your search engine, way to many states have declared Cruz eligible some of them Blue states, as has many Constitutional lawyers and Law schools. CNN: Why Ted Cruz Is Eligible To Be President http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/13/opinions/amar-cruz-trump-natural-born-citizen/index.html

And the CLINTON NEWS NETWORK is pro LIBERAL. Try reading the whole article, your boy, is the questionable one according to CNN. Who has actually made it simple to understand the meaning of Natural Born Citizen.

Lesson #1 never believe the MSM unless you can find other sources to verify it.
Lesson #2 always double check Blogs against real news sources.
Lesson #3 don’t take any candidates word as gospel until you’ve checked it out very thoroughly. Than includes voting records. Which Trump has none, never having held office.
Donald Trump did not vote in a primary election for 21 years http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1380032/Donald-Trump-did-vote-primary-election-21-years-records-show.html

His only record is being a LONG term DEM money donor for the last 30 years, especially the Clinton’s. Trump history of being big Dem donator

There is no way they are gonna let a non-natural born citizen become the nominee. The whole idea of the Republicans being the guardians of the Constitution becomes a mockery at that point.

“They” surely will. Assuming Hillary goes down in flames, and to avoid Bernie’s acid flashback’s from Woodstock, “they” will. If Raphael promises to toe the line, and not make waves, “they” will write up some nonsensical senate resolution making him eligible,..just like they did for Numbnuts.

The reason Reagan was not able to have a lasting impact, is he did not follow through and fight for conservatism. In his time, it was more important to take on the Soviet Union - everything else was set aside. So he raised SS taxes, allowed immigration, selected SC Judges who do not reflect conservative principles, to get along and make deals with Tip O’Neil.

The time for deals is over! The country is in desperate shape, on a fiscal cliff of insanity. Only be selected a true conservative who is willing to stand up to the liberal nonsense can this be reversed. No one, has proven able to do that better than Cruz. He is not bought by anyone, he can’t be bought. He’s taken every arrow the beltway class has thrown at him, and tossed in down.

They now support him! That’s how remarkable a change he has made in 4 short years. When he’s elected President, imagine what he can do in 8 years!

Your consideration for wisdom, is to delve deeply into cynicism and elect a liberal who says things uniformed crowds cheer to.

Sometimes you have to educate the crowd. Ted Cruz will do that as he goes head to head with Hillary or Sanders. He has the knowledge, ability and intelligence to educate on a vast scale conservative principles. Whether he gets that chance, is up to those supporting a condo salesman.

If Immigration were my #1 issue, perhaps I would consider Trump, but it is not. The size and scope of government is, and Trump has some positions related to that that are troubling to me.

Bingo.

Adding to your statement.....I'm tired of Washington writing rules, regulations and laws that are only for us "little people" to follow, while they do whatever they want because they are "better" than us.

I see that same attitude in Trump with all his whining and moaning about the "unfairness" of the Republican primary rules and how, since he's the most popular, they should just "give" the nomination to him, whether he hits the required 1237 or not.

Add in the comments about "riots" if he doesn't get the nomination "given to him"......or his supporters talking about "targeting delegates for intimidation", and Trump's campaign jumps from talking like a "GOPe" elitist to straight liberal thuggery like we've seen with BLM or Occupy Wall Street under Obama's "rule".

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Me? As I believe conservative principles are the only thing that can get this country back on track (you know, because I’m actually a conservative), I’ll keep supporting the only conservative in the race. You? Apparently not so much. To each his own I guess.

Well at least you’re asking questions.

The emotion of Trump supporters is not an indicator of the lack of analysis they have done on their candidate. The negative emotions are a result of the cheating and lies of the RNC and the Party of Romney.

It appears you read FR selectively and you haven’t bothered to find out who Donald Trump represents. Donald Trump is the most pro-Vet candidate and he’s been pro-vet all his life because his father was dedicated to veterans.

There’s plenty of hard evidence going back decades of Donald’s unselfish devotion to veterans. Veterans know him and support him by overwhelming numbers. They know he’s for real and they know he and they are bonded. When someone attacks Donald Trump, they are attacking America’s veterans, and vice-versa. Carrying his father’s passion, he has helped countless veterans over the decades and he’s done so quietly and unselfishly.

Now you’ve been warned to not post to me again. This is your last warning. Post to the person that started the thread. Do not post to me.

> “The reason Reagan was not able to have a lasting impact, is he did not follow through and fight for conservatism.”

Reagan did not have a GOP Congress to back him. He had a mandate of the people but it took 4 years after he left office to get a GOP Congress that would try to carry on the Reagan Revolution.

As it was, Reagan had to deal with what he had. But his legacy is not in his legislative achievements, it was in the prestige that he brought back to American and his major role in bringing down the Soviet Union.
