He was indeed dishonest. He used to stage propaganda events for the press like paying protestors to go after him and Nixon jumping on the car giving the V sign.

I totally agree with you, he’s not crook and he wasn’t at fault for watergate. Nixon’s screw up was fix everything in Washington at the same time. Even the military was trying to get rid of Nixon. For all his good intentions he wasn’t smart about how he went about it.

As someone who was an adult in '68 and witnessed, FIRST HAND, the rise of SDS, the Weather Underground, the for real blood in the street, Abbey Hoffman and others TRAINING ( what to scream, how to throw bags of human waste at police, so that they would break open upon contact) the idiots/troops, on the Sheep's Meadow in Central Park, read the EVO ( The East Village Other and a few other such subversive lefty papers and magazines to know what the enemy was doing and planning ), throw in the old "BAN THE BOMB" lefties, the RED DIAPER BABIES' Commie parents, and various stupid children who thought that protesting was "fun" and THAT is who protested President Nixon!
He NEVER paid the protestors; he didn't have to.
What's next, you're going to tell me that he paid the protesters, in South America, who hurled rocks and veggies at him, when he was Ike's VEEP, for "PUBLICITY" ?
He didn't "screw everything up", the whole military thing was via the N.Y. Times articles about the new uniforms he wanted worn by the military at the White House, which was nick named "THE IMPERIAL GUARD" by the lefties and that never came into fruition!

He and his team have lied about Carson having left the race, in Iowa, by sending out that "YOU HAVEN'T VOTED" thing AND by sending out something that looked like one had gotten a check, all over the nation ( I got one ), which is ILLEGAL in many different states, and he has lied about being an "OUTSIDER", which he has NEVER been. There's more, but that should suffice!
And FYI....unlike Teddy, his father and CRAZY Glenn Beck, neither Trump, his team, nor his supporters have NEVER claimed that he was "anointed by GOD", "the face of GOD", and n obody has EVER claimed that he is "GOD"!

I agree with you about Nixon and I've heard that JFK contributed to Nixon in his campaign against Helen Gahagan Douglas.
She was a theater actress who was married to actor Melvin Douglas (she made one movie - the 1935 version of "She").
Getting back to Trump, some folks have compared him to Jesus.
Back then, almost all Americans, including pols, no matter their party affiliation were anti-Commies/Marxists and Pro-America.
Al,l true re Helen Gahagen Douglas and I have known about this for a very long time, but am glad that you posted it. I too have posted that info, many times over. Melvin Douglas was also a damned PINKO, but his wife was far worse; she was more of a FELLOW TRAVELER.
I've seen many Cruz supporters comparing him to GOD and to the Christ, but NEVER a Trumpster say that about The Donald. *shrugs*
Hardly. An awful lot of us, myself included, backing Cruz, do so reluctantly and solely on the basis of ideas.
