Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is holding five rallies across Illinois on Monday in the lead-up to its Super Tuesday vote tomorrow. Although the latest polls show Trump with a lead in Illinois, the Cruz rallies highlight the superior ground effort of his campaign. Donald Trump currently has around 36 percent support in Illinois. Cruz is around 25 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is at 19 percent. While Trump may win the overall vote in Illinois, it is possible he ends up with fewer delegates than Cruz, or even Kasich.
In Illinois, the winner of the statewide vote receives 15 of the state's delegates. Another 54 delegates are awarded through votes in the state's 18 congressional districts.
In each district, voters vote for a candidate and then must vote for up to three individuals to serve as delegates, each of whom are affiliated with one of the candidates....

If Barbara had known Neil would attract all of this attention, she might have bypassed Jebbie and ran Neil directly.
Old news, nothing to see there. But is Cruz in such financial need that he had to turn to Neil?
No he never went into how. He just suggested that even if Cruz lost all 5 states tomorrow the primaries were by no means over for Cruz.
That was all he said. He was implying that there was a possibility Cruz could recover and overcome such a defeat.
Seriously in the last few months Rush has made such outrageous comments that I think he is going senile. These days I have to be somewhere at a certain time and I happen to get in the car when Rush is on and listen for 10-15 minutes before I get to my destination.
I am thinking he is making these kinds of statements to get listeners a lot like the kind of crap Megyn Smelly puts out. That can be the only explanation. Either that or Rush is going senile.
I remember Rush telling me in 1996 that Dole was catching fire and will beat Clinton.
I’m glad I’ve graduated from AM talk radio. I dont even know how people keep subjecting themselves to people that still use a medium like it is still 1995, and think they have any influence.
The delegate election is separate and it counts as to who wins most of the delegates in the congressional districts.
3 in each of the 18 districts are elected. 54 in all.
If the popular vote shows Trump in a popular column all that’s good for with a win is 15 delegates.
If 30 Trump won in the districts, 24 Cruz and so on that’s how the results will stand there.
Neil Bush the S&L debacle leader is Cruz assistant finance guy. How freaking gross is that? What a fiasco.
We, or at least I, always hoped someone would come along who could drag the GOP back to the right. Cruz seems like the best opportunity for that to happen to come along in several decades.
Will Cruz be standing with Black Lives Matter as he did before?
>> Classic Cruz fan edit.

Bush head if finance not campaign manager, head of money seems to me is much worse OWNED TEDDY!!!!
ping
Well it is on a long slow fade.
You can tell from the advertisers...obscure stuff...huckabee diabetes plan...precious metals...etc.
Trump has Illinois sewn up.
Rush is pissed because trump does not suck up to him. Rush can be a real attention prostitute, lately he is being the coy actor, pretending one Thing, saying another. Remember the dog would have caught the rabbit if he had not stopped to poop.
Unfortunately for Cruz this is an election not a caucus. Ordinary folks can vote without having to stand around in a high school gym all night.
pre-riot kasich had low turnout chicago in the bag. Chicago cops now are torn between the D primary and its pro-cop candidate vs R primary and there are career considerations Voting R can get a cop assigned to the wrong op.
I have noticed a totally different Rush these last few months.
Maybe he is losing in the ratings so he is stoking people. I just don’t remember him being so nutty. He does not make sense. A few weeks ago Rush was questioning something Trump said about healthcare coverage when Trump said he did not want to deny people healthcare if they were dying in the streets.
I understood what Trump was saying which is basically that if someone is in dire need of treatment that there should be a way for people to be treated properly.
Rush said of Trump’s comment that he was not reading anywhere of anyone dying in the streets from inadequate healthcare coverage. He simply did not see evidence of this. Rush was totally delusional about this. There are people dying as we speak of inadequate healthcare or no healthcare. I have read of people needing treatment for cancer who have been denied and summarily died.
Rush said that you can walk into any emergency room and get treated. That is totally false. If you do not have an insurance card it is not unusual to wait over 18 hours to see a doctor and even then they will patch you up with the minimum and throw you back out which is not treatment.
Someone I knew had no healthcare coverage. He was a contractor in chronic pain and was taking way too many pain killers. He was on a job in California and became very ill. They took him to the emergency room where he waited the 18 hours. He was found to have a hole in his stomach. He was given pain killers and released.
The next day he came home here in Arizona and died. That is the kind of free healthcare Rush assures us where people do not die in the streets.
Rush is making the most bizarre comments these days and that is why if I turn him on I only can listen 10 minutes. He is no longer interesting the way he used to be.
I am not sure why Rush has changed so much. In media the media types go psycho when their ratings are down. I am assuming that is Rush’ reason. Either that or he is mentally whacked like Glenn Beck.
We disagree.
I do not believe Cruz has thrown in with them at all...but he will use them.
I do not believe the GOPe plans, for a minute, to have Cruz win. They will throw him to the curb.
Both know this.
In the end, the best scenario for bringing down the GOPe is for this to develop into a two man race with the Trump and Cruz getting on the order of 2,250 or more delegates between hem.
In that scenario, Trump probably wins with 1,300 or more himself.
I am okay with that if it turns out that way.
I would rather see Cruz win.
But either man would make a great president if they will simply do what they have said they would do, and what they have written up in some detail on their sites.
Anyhow...time will tell us pretty soon.
