FLASH! New FedUp PAC Poll Finds Conservatives Want a Debate Limited to Trump and Cruz
Conservative HQ ^ | February 18, 2016 | Staff

Conservatives overwhelmingly support a one-on-one debate between GOP frontrunners Donald Trump and Ted Cruz according to a poll by FedUp PAC. By a margin of 67-31% they say that Trump should accept the Donald Trump Ted Cruzchallenge from Cruz, allowing them to debate each other without the distraction of other candidates.

Even some liberal pundits are now saying that the nominee will most likely be either Trump or Cruz. A debate limited to the two of them would allow voters to focus on the strengths each brings to the race and the differences between them. As the primaries move into southern states where both Trump and Cruz have strong support, such a debate would be a great help to undecided voters.

FedUp PAC is a grassroots organization that advocates that constitutional conservatives take over the GOP because Americans are fed up with the Republican establishment. It is not affiliated with any candidate or committee

I thought we were supposed to be electing a leader, not a captain of the debate team.

A debate between Cruz, Trump, Hillary and Bernie would be even more interesting.

How about we just follow the rules that are in place instead of letting some PAC dictate what happens? You let one PAC dictate what happens and then they are all going to want to. Why waste our time if Cruz doesn’t make it to the top two?

If Trump gets badly wounded, Rubio stands to be the main benefactor. Cruz et al won’t be doing themselves any favors.

If Trump and Cruz made a deal and decided to Run as a team the GOPe and the Media would implode. I would pay good money to see that.

Any other person with Trumps lead, the party would be coalescing around him. There would be no more debates.

The GOP will smash Cruz like a bug?

I’m sure the GOP in TX said the same thing about Cruz when he had the NERVE to run for the Senate against the establishment candidate. That didn’t turn out too well for the GOP.

Cruz is a brilliant man and—as he’s proving again—a formidable candidate who’s not to be dismissed lightly.

Agree. This goes against the RNC rules for debates.

I doubt a state GOP is as powerful as the national GOP when they gang up on you.

I had to look FedUp up. It hasn’t given money to anyone according to the report I saw.

Since Cruz was clobbered, and only managed to come in third in South Carolina, and Rubio came in second, Rubio would declare that he has a more valid claim to debating the #1 candidate, Trump, one-on-one.

It is understandable why Cruz would desperately want to have a one-on-one with the big winner Trump, but it is truly a terrible idea emanating from the loser's camp, as they are trying to change the rules in the middle of the game, just because they got royally schlonged by the magnificent voters of South Carolina.
