Trump steals everything. He is a serial cheater on his wives. He regularly cheats by screwing other men’s wives. He stole that old woman’s property in Atlantic City using eminent domain.
Ted Cruz has had a life filled with dignity and integrity. He won Iowa fair and square with vastly superior ground game.

ANY of Trump, Cruz, Carson would be vastly better than Hillary, Sanders, Biden, Warren.
Kasich, Rubio, Bush, will in some respects (immediate policy) be marginally better than any Dem, and far worse, as they will be blame *magnets* for when all of Obama's chickens come home to roost.
We all have differing judgment as to the good candidates' strengths and weaknesses on policy, on campaigning in the fall, and on their ability to enact their agenda.
But there are very few long-term Freepers who are knowingly choosing anyone whom they actually think will undermine the country.
(Say, how did that Hershey bar end up all over my nose?) ;-)
Trump is one of that number.
It took some patience waiting for it to develop. :)
We know this only because he tells us. He also tells us that he wont sell junk bonds, carson is mentally ill, Cruz is a liar, Hillary is a good friend, that hd is very pro choice, and whatever else is to his advantage.

The difference is, he apparently hears what the electorate has been *screaming* for three elections now, without having to focus-group it first.
He may be a narcissist, but he loves America; Obama is a malignant narcissist who HATES America.
