Beaufort, S.C. - Did Donald Trump damage his candidacy at Saturday night's debate when he alleged that George W. Bush knowingly lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in order to launch the war? A few signs suggest the answer is yes.
On Monday, Rush Limbaugh lumped Trump in the same league as Michael Moore and Daily Kos bloggers for standing by his Iraq war conspiracy theory. Then on Tuesday, CNN released a poll that found Trump dropped 9 points after the debate--from 40 percent to 31 percent. On Tuesday night, every voter I spoke to at Trump's campaign event in Beaufort, South Carolina disapproved of Trump's comments. Their views ranged from genuine disgust to mere displeasure.
Dave Paxton from Hilton Head said he still doesn't know who he's voting for on Tuesday, but he is certain he won't be voting for Trump. Paxton said Trump's comment about George W. Bush "was horrible. I couldn't hardly watch after that. I mean, really, I was hoping they would not even ask him another question."
"I just think he made an ass of himself," Paxton added. "And then he kept interrupting."(continued)

Then why were they at a Trump campaign event?
You weren't supposed to catch that part
Trump may actually be either a complete idiot, or an emotional infant. I just saw him ON TV in South Carolina saying, “Lindsey Graham is an idiot”, and “you have the worst senator in the US”. I am at a loss to explain why any candidate would viciously insult the voters of a state in which he was gong to compete in three days! Next, I guess he will tear into Nicky Haley.
Most Republicans disprove of the Iraq War
John Brennan not responding to Trump 60 Minutes or anything said the Bush Administration put of Terrorism for a Year was the plan.
True, no one can stop the Savior, Jesus Christ.
No they aren’t. Bush is no longer revered except by RINOs.
Yes, it would have been better. No comparison at all.
This is how they set it up to do some vote shifting.
Watch them.
I hope he will have the sense to walk it back.
He did already, on Monday. He knew he went a bit too overboard, but as others have mentioned, digging our heels into a full-throated defense of the Iraq war is a pretty good way to lose the election anyway, so I’m perfectly happy to let the whole thing go. Yelling at each other over Iraq isn’t going to help the middle class and end the flood of illegals.
We’ll find out in about 4 days, I suspect.
He’s been saying that about Graham from day one...remember the cell phone incident? And even though he was reelected, most in SC feel the same way about Graham.
We have 0bama because some Chicago politician’s wife did not want to go to a sex club, sued him for divorce, made the terms public, forcing the politician to withdraw. He was replaced by a black guy out of nowhere who the machine pushed into the Senate seat.
We have 0bama because most voters did not bother to look at the man, his record, or his policies - preferring to yammer on about this and that and when McCain was the nominee sat home in fits of hubris. Not want to put too fine a point on their non-statement, repeated themselves four years later.
And now, because it has become a habit, if there issue/guy in not on the ballot in November, will once again stock up on popcorn, rent a movie and so spend election night, giving us once again a Democrat POTUS.
Since Cruz has not even built a small backyard fence by himself, he has no clue how to build a real wall 1000 miles long. So all Cruz and his supporters can do is throw out labels....liberal, conservative etc.
Labels never built a wall, and never created a single job.
Trump has employed over 100,000 people over the years in real jobs. Only people Cruz ever employed is a baby sitter for his kids.
Weekly Standard again?!
Most are very quiet about their feelings, and may have been hurrahing for the don, but when they get in the booth to vote in that secret moment, I don't believe they will vote for the don after all. Just can't do it, they can't turn their backs on the morals they uphold and have always lived by.
I agree with most of your points. However I believe Obama would have been elected whether bush went into Iraq or not. The 1st black president buzz factor, MSM help and dem cheating made it fairly easy for him to beat RINOS like McCain and Romney.
More TRUMPERY exposed....
