COLUMBIA -- Contention in the Republican presidential contest ticked up a notch Wednesday when Sen. Ted Cruz responded to a cease-and-desist request from Donald Trump's camp asking him to stop playing an advertisement by saying, "file the lawsuit."

Cruz told reporters in the morning that the letter accused his campaign of misleading the public in a TV ad that includes footage of Trump saying he is "very pro-choice."

"The letter said this attack ad, as they called it, is not only completely disingenuous but replete with lies, false defamatory and destructive statements and downright fabrications," he said, according to a CNN video.

Cruz said the letter threatened to sue him if the campaign doesn't remove the ad....

“...James Dobson, another busybody religious nutjob from the Puritan wing of the Republican politburo.”

So you’ve cleverly invented a self-canceling “politburo” of “religious nut jobs” while even more cleverly revealing your own sentiments which would be loudly applauded on Dimwitocrat Underground. Congratulations.

I listen to James Dobson on the radio. All. The. Time. He’s a marriage traditionalist, a Constitutionalist, pro-life, a man of intelligence, common sense and simple decency, courteous and respectful even to those who spew venom at him—IOW a good Christian, the type of man real “nut jobs” on the left utterly despise.
If the shoe fits...

Two things Trump and supporters hate: God and Ted Cruz, they are fighting both at the same time.

Not supported by polls. What “Americans like” in one of the polls here is Trump: he’s up 3 over Cankles and even more over Dinobernie.

16 years? Doesn’t matter. If someone was EVER for a partial birth abortion then that speaks volumes about the character of that candidate or lack thereof. Disgusting.

Clearly, I have wasted my time trying to have an intelligent, civil conversation here. It appears you are capable of neither. Have a good life.

No you haven't wasted you time, I am sure there is plenty in my reply's that will educate you, you just have to go back and study the subject, as I just opinioned on your query of what we, his parents are anyone else knew or knows now. BUT TED CRUZ knows full well if he is a citizen...I think I will just go with him for now..

Now if you have some solid contradictions to Cruz's knowledge, you need to enjoin Trump in that lawsuit.

Not true but nice try. Now, would YOU donate to Harry Reid, Schumer, Pelosi, the Clintons, Rahm Emmanuel? would you?

well, I guess time and voters will see if the polls are correct. I think its fair to say some like Trump and some don’t. We’ll just see how it all plays out.in the end.

“Sixteen years ago he said he had been told about the processs by two doctors he trusted and since then has been totally AGAINST partial birth abortion.”

But Trump has been funding pro-abortion candidates for most of those 16 years.

What is Trump's thinking when he funds the opposition?

I agree, but one of the memes of this campaign is that we are in a celebrity age where characteristics such as “unfavorables” must be viewed in light of show business, like J. R. Ewing, the Undertaker, or Richard Petty.

It is the only explanation for the giant gap between so-called unfavorables and extremely high poll numbers for over a year combined with a record vote in IA (despite losing) and NH (winning).
