Time to worry.
As the Iowa primary draws near, the Republican race has come down to some basic questions: Can Donald Trump's insurgent campaign maintain its support? And if it can't, where do his votes go?
It seems unlikely his voters would flock to candidates like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio--not with the deep animus flowing towards the Republican establishment. Alternately, if Trump's voters flee him because they deem the reality television star unelectable, why would they turn to fellow insurgents like Ben Carson or Mike Huckabee, who are even harder to envision in the Oval Office?
Standing in the gap is Senator Ted Cruz, a candidate every bit as uncompromising and angry as Trump--but with enough experience in elected office to seem plausible. Cruz also has a significantly strong campaign infrastructure, deep-pocketed donors, and skyrocketing poll numbers....

You can post your opinions all you want, but be assured they won’t influence my thread choices.
Somehow I bet that any source that doesn’t agree with you has no credibility
A message to all you Ted Cruz supporters: I know you’re all staunch, stiff, and strict constitutional conservatives who support a guy who says he refuses to make deals with democrats if elected... Hey! I get it, I really really do! It would be nice to get everything we ask for! As a conservative I’m 100% in agreement with protecting the constitution! That’s very very important... However your unwillingness to compromise will turn off angry conservatives, moderates, and displaced voters... And will cost Cruz the nomination! Obama and liberal polititions have purposely divided this country, not only politically but also racially... We have to fix race relations and the divisiveness that is tearing this country apart, and I’m sorry to say... As much of an outsider Cruz tries to present himself, supporters of Cruz who refuses to move even a little toward the middle and compromise... Stamps Cruz with a big fat “I’m a far right extreme conservative who will not work well with others!” On his forehead! Your minority and middle of the road voters don’t like that attitude! Many (not all, but a big chunk) who voted for Obama realize they made a mistake, they are not impressed with Hillary or Bernie... What do they do? They are willing to vote for someone on the republican ticket, but they want someone who will be willing to extend the proverbial hand of friendship... They see this in Trump, but not so much in Cruz... And it’s all because of you (the Cruz supporter! You guys have branded him!) I’ve recently seen polls that show Trump has anywhere from 20% to 40% of the black and Hispanic vote... Cruz can’t compete with that! As far as “keeping the constitution safe” goes? If you’ve listened to trump at all you would know he respects the constitution! Especially the first and second amendment! he may not be able to recite the constitution like your average politician can, but you can’t prove to me that trump would executive order and change to the constitution! The main reason? Because he can’t without congress approval! So the bottom line here is... Cruz has tried and tried to represent himself as an outsider, but because of his millions of stubborn supporters such as yourself... He will not get the nomination! I thank you for that!
Neither Rubio or Cruz is a Conservative. Either one will say anything to get elected.
Is Donald Trump is dream candidate? No, but at least he isn’t an establishment candidate, or being bought off or owing the Super PAC’s.
The more Trump makes the establishment upset the better I like him.

It’s always entertaining to see just how much the far left wing media simply doesn’t understand either Ted Cruz or his voters. As president, he’ll make their heads spin.

Insecurities multiply the messengers. lol
Yeah fall behind by 30 points then sneak up while everybody is laughing at him. That “Surging Ted” is one clever dude, you betcha!
When’s the national primary?
Cruz has tried and tried to represent himself as an outsider, but because of his millions of stubborn supporters such as yourself...
*************
Cruz has spent most of his working life in some type government job. He did work five years+- for a couple of law firms outside gov’t. So he’s not a newcomer to the gov’t teat be it state or federal.
Now Trump isn’t a gov’t worker per se, but he knows how to use the gov’t for his purposes.
That said I’d like to see someone with a business background as President. However,
the gov’t with lifelong workers running the day to day ops may not change much. Sad.
And that is where I think Trump may have a rude awakening as he can call some shots but the
employees are federal lifers.
Take care
Long time lurker! I use to be a member under ibnerdy a while back! Sorry if my sudden reappearance startles you, but what I said is true! But forget I said anything and keep attackng Trump... I like that better anyway!
