Yeah, sure, it’ll destroy the Republican Party just like Reagan did. What it will do is destroy the GOPe. Those cockroaches need destroying.

Sometimes, you have to destroy something in order to save it. The GOPe certainly isn't the same party it was when I pulled the lever for Reagan.........most of these country club asshats would have blended invisibly into the Carter Administration.

Iâll never understand why the keep lumping Cruz in with Trump. They are not even in the same league.
Correct. One argued 9 cases before Supreme Court judges. The other argued with beauty contest judges.

“Republicans are admitting that if Ted Cruz or Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination, they will destroy the GOP for a generation.”
correction: “destroy the GOPe for a generation”
Which is good.

Trump will slash and burn, he’s as fed up as the rest of us.
Cruz is a member of the club, nothing will change.

Boy is that a true statement!
Cruz is a consistent, constitutional conservative, whereas Trump is a Johnny-come-lately campaign conservative who was has been fighting the conservative Good Fight all along!

I wonder if the reason so many of these guys stay is that if they went to the Dems they would be way down the food chain, and it would just cost them too much to switch?

I’m lol too. I saw it was from Politico and wouldn’t read beyond the teaser so I didn’t see who they had dragged out to come up with the headline. Politico is just as delusional as McConnell and his peeps.

The GOPe maybe. - Time marches on. Things change. Will
Rogers used to joke about the corruption in Washington.
- It has now reached critical mass.

That Article is a load of steaming excrement. A win by Trump or Cruse could not destroy the GOP. The GOP-E has already done that through their cowardice. Allowing a dictator like Obama to destroy this country Economically, Militarily and Racially in 7 years. Imagine what he could do if he tried to extend his term another 4 years.

I was secretly hoping that they would “destroy” it for more than a generation. We need a two party system in this country again.

“Republicans Admit That A Trump Or Cruz Win Will Destroy The GOP For A Generation”
I thought this was ok with the GOPe. They were willing to lose a few elections to get rid of the conservative voting base. Of course, I don’t know where they thought they would make up a new voter base and I don’t know why they thought the Dem party would allow them to emerge once the Dem’s had a single party state in their hands, but I never really understood the GOPe anyway. The GOPe has mucked up Presidential elections going back to the early 90s and that seems like a generation by my account. So if another generation was lost to the GOPe, it wouldn’t be a new development. It seems to me, the GOPe is more concerned about losing their gravy train. The GOPe only wants donors, not those pesky voters who are always demanding representation and responsibility.
