Ted Cruz raked in massive profits by getting $5,000,000 from club for growth, a pro-Amnesty organization with ties to "globalist" causes, but that isn't enough. Ted Cruz now needs money from the people, and is sending spam emails to his followers (and non followers) via email for cash, often with threatening titles:

This is the most critical, most important email I have ever sent you.

I think Ted Cruz is a very nice fellow. But he's gotta stop spamming us with campaign email. I've received nearly a dozen emails today -- 12 emails in one day!
And the subject lines are "EMERGENCY!" "HELP!" "BREAKING!"

I will DEFINITELY bring that up. I have texting turned off on my rarely carried cell phone. Amazing how many people assume you are “all you can eat” plans.
The constant bitching about all the hardships Cruz has been forced to endure while running really does come off very “annoying” and “creepy.” Imagine how much he would complain about managing a real crisis as president

It looks like it is a way to get around campaign finance law.
According to this link, the campaign released a lot of raw footage so that his pacs could use them for ads without having “official†contact with the Cruz campaign.

I have 3 email accounts that are FULL of Cruz propaganda this morning. The ONLY way his campaign is getting all these addresses is by some outfit asking you to vote your choice of president (often Nrcc and NRSC, who contributes to Cruz while selling bogus Trump gear to his supporters. Cruz has NOT been my choice, so his campaign is getting the addresses of TRUMP supporters to hound.

Cruz posted it raw, unlike other candidates, because he was being forthright. Here's the excerpt from your linked article::

Candidates in general post material to the internet so that it is in the public domain and can therefore be used by their PACs. Your observation is that Trump does not do this since he self-finances and that those who do are 'sleazy'.
No one wants politics to be a rich man's sport. Financing your own campaign does not make you morally superior or your opponents 'sleazy'. Trump's argument is that he can't be bought, which is true. Trump loses me when he invites us to assume that others are bought.
Whether or not he posted full raw video in comparison to the other candidates is irrelevant.
He posted it in order to skirt campaign finance laws.
The character of the elected official is what matters - do you do what's right for the country or what's right for the billionaire who supported your campaign? I would think actually being the billionaire who supported your campaign would double the likelihood that you would act in the billionaire's interest. Depending on your character, of course.
I wrote and asked to be taken off their list and the emails doubled. Pass the word. I like CRUZ. Have said repeatedly that I want him to serve for life on the SCOTUS but this spam is more than annoying. Seems almost as if his committee is working against him

The interviewer hacks all the way through the take with Ted on camera, continues hacking with Ted with his parents together, and then winds up prying into deeply personal sorrows for the poor mother.
GOOD for her to smack back and put her foot down. I would have walked out!

Cruz is desperate and probably “DONE”. None of this is good news for him. He is an unhappy candidate and it’s starting to show. This is the proof and it all goes viral, sooner than later.
The benefits or merits of this “raw video” crap is not only ridiculous, but NON-EXISTANT. Excusing it in various rhetorical fashion is embarrassing, I should think.
