I hope we can stop the circling firing squad and simply fight Hillary and her failures and unite around the primary winner.
Then Cruz needs to be accountable for his remarks. We don’t need a Romney 47% hidden tape moment. Admittedly what Cruz said is fairly innocuous, but he dodged the first couple of questions on it. Seeing the direction this is going with Trump starting to tie Cruz to big $$ donors, and the fact Cruz is virtually alone in 2nd place, possibly leading in Iowa, this is not good timing IMO.
Trump is playing everyone for a fool.
He’s doing the same thing Perot did in 1992, stopping information from coming out against the Clintons and the dems that would send the Clintons and dem party to the ash heap of history.
Trump is helping Hillary create a new and improved version of the “spontaneous” lie.
The new and improved spontaneous lie is supposed to be the terrorist are responding to the “right wing extremist hate speech”.
The idea is to claim the Benghazi terrorist got the idea to attack from the “right wing extremist hate speech” comparing Obama to Peanuts Carter.
It's the Republican primary. It's a circular firing squad by definition.
The last one standing goes after Hillary, and anyone who thinks Trump and Cruz are going to link arms and go forth together is going to be very disappointed.
I don’t think what he said was particularly harsh. Trump, Cruz, everybody knows they’re going to have to go at it face to face eventually. I think what Don is doing here is trying to draw Cruz out, bait him, get him to fight at a time and place not of his choosing. I do not think Cruz will take the bait.
That’s exactly why the MSM has been trying to start a fight. Takes the focus off how terrible the Dems are.
You are relying on defensive strategy. You are thinking in terms of not letting the Democrats advance.
Time to go on offense and think in terms of what conservatives CAN advance. We have to choose ONE, the best ONE, now. We don't get to have both, we have to choose one. What are you even thinking about Hillary for? Why aren't you staying focused on the task at hand -- and that is to choose the best ONE to run against whatever the Democrats put up?
It will mean having to reject one of them. For me, it is a very easy decision -- Trump is an exceedingly bad risk, with a history of looking to government for solutions. Pointing it out is part of the process, for all you perceive it as "circular firing squad."
Cruz is the much more compelling and convincing conservative who looks to the Constitution for limited government solutions.
