One day after a report that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned Donald Trump's "judgement" in a private event, Trump called out Cruz for criticizing him behind close doors but refraining from negative comments in public.
Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like all others. Will be easy!
.@tedcruz should not make statements behind closed doors to his bosses, he should bring them out into the open - more fun that way!
Cruz has so far refrained from bashing Trump in public. After Trump announced his proposal to ban Muslims from coming to the United States, Cruz disagreed but stopped short of condemning Trump's remarks.
But the Texas senator spoke about Trump and Ben Carson during a Manhattan fundraiser on Wednesday, according to the New York Times.
"Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now thatâs a question of strength, but itâs also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them," Cruz said of Trump and Carson.
Cruz has started gaining on Trump in the key primary state of Iowa, which may be making Trump uneasy. The real estate mogul has a habit of attacking his Republican rivals when they rise in the polls, as both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal noted this week. Trump may have released his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the country in an attempt to boost his support with evangelical voters in Iowa.
Anonymous sources?
That interview must have taken place before the audio clip was made public.
Because the Egyptian military had just overthrown the Muslim Brotherhood (terrorist) government and Cruz wanted to punish them for it. That was the first time I started to worry about Ted Cruz. It reminded me of when Herman Cane said the did not know what the "right of return" meant. He showed shockingly poor judgement (lol) of politics in the middle east. Egyptian military good, Muslim Brotherhood bad.
>> Trump will do extremely well with all demos in the general.
I think f you lump together blacks, Hispanics, Asians, women, Jews, Muslim and gays, he’ll get about 27%. Which is good enough if he gets white men.
Nice post!
Depends on whether he got them to give him money. They know who he is and what his record is. Are we to lambast them for supporting him? Do we not want Wall Street (corporations) to succeed or should the president only be supported by small business?
Jon Scott on Fox just said this word for word....
“Ted Cruz basically said that Trump is not fit for office”
That is the exact words Jon used, a real stretch to say the least.
They would be easy to stand behind for a candidate for the presidency. He said that voters need to decide in their judgment who is better to have their hand on the trigger...him, Carson, or Trump. He said he is better.
What would you expect him to say?
He did NOT say that Carson and Trump have bad judgment. He was talking of the voters judging.
I don’t even LISTEN to FOX any more!!! This is media messing with words at it’s best!!!!
Go Trump! Trump is the only one saying things like âban Muslim immigrationâ because he is the only one that is not owned by others as only Trump doesnât need money.
Trump is right. His owners are pulling his strings like they are for all the politicians as they are all owned . Only Trump is not owned by rich donors.
New poll being announced. Another day another giant lead for Trump.
‘New Landmark/RosettaStone poll in Georgia: . Trump 43% Cruz 16% Rubio 11% Carson 7%’
Boys! Boys! Play nice now, or the MSM/Left will eat you up!
Excellent post.
The interview and the release of the audio clip apparently both happened on the same day (Dec. 10). Which happened first? I don’t know.
But regardless of the timing of the release of the clip, Cruz clearly knew about the NYT article, and he must have known it was true.
“I never saw such a thin skin. “
Try a mirror.
F-ing media. I really hate those bastards, Fox included. If anyone is under the delusion that Fox actually cares about conservatives, you need to have your head examined.
I have no problem with what Cruz said...or Trump’s response.
Cruz looks really weak not owning his own comments though, especially now that the audio clip has been made public.
With today’ technology Faux News could broadcast form any city in the USA that it so desired. But the parties and the glam of NYC is too enticing.
Nonsense.
The idea that all "monied interests" are bad is straight out of the Marxist Democrat playbook.
And it comes from Trump and some of his supporters, even here on FR, who don't even try to document where Cruz's big money really comes from.
There are good monied interests and their are bad monied interests. Its up to the candidate to connect with the good money.
Pretty basic conservative, free market, pro First Amendment principle.
Another one posting this same nonsense.
Could be a looks thing. I had the same issue with Cruz but I came to respect his ideals having listened to him and learning his history. My hope is he leads the charge against pre-born genocide. Then and only then will God allow America to be great again, even if only for a little bit. Otherwise, doesn’t matter who is president because God hates the shedding of innocent blood and the whole world is again as in the days of Noah.
