The first Republican primary is months away, but in the race to see which GOP candidate could make the most of the legal battle over a Kentucky clerk's refusal to grant same-sex marriage licenses, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee emerged a winner Tuesday, thanks to the efforts of an aide to block 2016 rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) from joining Huckabee at Davis' side.
Both presidential candidates were present at the rally at the jail holding Kim Davis, the Rowan County Clerk. But according to a New York Times report of the day's events, a Huckabee aide physically stood in Cruz's path to Davis' side as she and Huckabee appeared in front of the media after her release from jail:
When Senator Cruz exited the jail a throng of journalists beckoned him toward their microphones, but an aide to Mr. Huckabee blocked the path of Mr. Cruz, who appeared incredulous.
Moments later, Mr. Huckabee appeared, joined by Ms. Davis. He stuck close to her side as she approached the reporters, and again when she took the stage, and cast her fight as a choice of tyranny or religious freedom....

While that’s basically true .. good manners would dictate consulting with the organizer of the rally .. to see if it would be okay if they also participated.
But, as the GOP-e always shows us .. they do not have good manners .. nor do they play fair (they learned a lot of it from the DemocRATS).
So, they can try to mess this rally up .. but they do so at their own peril.

CRUZ ORGANIZED AND INVITED TRUMP!!!!!! Was posted here on FR. Also read on Breitbart that some “other candidates asked Cruz if they could speak”. I think the word must have been no. Ted Yoho my congresscritter will be speaking. He also has voted againsted Boehner every time he had the chance.

By participate I guess you mean since 14 or 15 other candidates were
not given “prime speaking time”, you think that’s “Bad Manners”?

Huckillry. Behavior unity between Huck and Hillary. The way he was glued to the hip with Kim, she couldn’t have shaken him off if she had tried. It was over reach seen on live TV.

Huck has done things like this in the past—remember what he did to Mitt Romney in West Virginia Primary. I would trust Huck as far as I could toss him.
The hayseed in the overalls is the husband (the current one) of Kim Davis.
Maybe you should read my msg again .. I know at least 3 (THREE) of the other candidates consulted other people about speaking at the rally .. NONE OF THOSE 3 PEOPLE EVER CONSULTED WITH CRUZ (WHO ORGANIZED THE RALLY).
If the 3 had consulted with Cruz, it would have been good manners on their part. It was then up to Cruz to decide if he wanted them to join. I don’t think Cruz would have objected; but THEY NEVER ASK HIM ..!!!!! Instead, they went behind his back to see if they could force their way into the rally.
Cruz was not obligated to include anybody .. especially since they didn’t ask him directly. And .. I suspect Huck got insulted because Cruz wouldn’t allow him to speak. But, Huck never asked Cruz .. but instead went behind his back.
Therefore, being PETTY, Huck decided to keep Cruz from speaking with the reporters. And .. on FOX (Hannity), it became clear that Huck was in charge - and the camera focused in very tightly on Huck, the lady, and the Judge. Cruz was nowhere to be seen. So, as usual, FOX never ask where Cruz was .. and also never mentioned Cruz in their report - even though Cruz was there to see the lady.
Does that clear it up for you ..??

The idea of a rally or protest is to draw attention to an issue. In this case a side benefit could have been to embarrass the judge who clearly over punished Ms. Davis.
I’m impressed with your psychic abilities since you know the motives of those who showed their hand as well as those who did not.
If Ted Cruz is not an honorable man in your mind, I hope Jesus is on the ballot because he is probably the only candidate you could support.

Exactly how did Cruz turn this into publicity for himself again? Did Cruz try and force himself into a photograph with the woman? Nope. Why do you think she was released? This is a fight for religious freedom and to stop persecution and prosecution of Christians in this country by Obama and the Gaystapo. Without people like Ted Cruz vigorously taking up the matter and bringing pressure to bear, she and others like her get dumped in jail for as long as this far left judge likes.

Huckabee reminds me of Joel Osteen with a political slant to him.
