Is the SDA considered a cult? From what I understand, they still uphold the trinity and sola fide, although they seem to lean on the legalistic end. They err on the eternal nature of hell and have extrabiblical doctrine through their “prophet,” but, otherwise, I am not aware of any damning doctrines of theirs.

When I was in seminary the Association of Theological Schools has recognized that the Seventh Day Adventist had their own Theological Training School Seminary and College. The primary founder was a woman with the last name of White. Seventh day Adventism rose up in the US at the same time that there were other considered fringe denominations that came into existence.
