Cruz looking better and better. Still there is that pesky Ivy League education. I am still leery of that.

Cruz indeed is a smart, consistent conservative.

His Ivy League education is a plus, imho. It’s some of the political decisions he’s made that kill it for me. And the big donors.

I went to high school with a guy who is a Harvard Business grad. An insufferable bore — even has that phony accent (Hah-vud). And dumb as a rock.

On the other hand, I once worked with an attorney who graduated from Yale. Highly intelligent and something of an expert on Constitutional law. One of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. I keep saying he turned out fine in spite of his Ivy League education.

Oh precisely because a good university is a terrible thing to go to.

Don’t mention it to Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Robert Bork, Anton Scalia....need I continue?

Trump went to Wharton—as in Penn, as in the Ivy League.

I hear you, but let it go. There are some people (not many, I admit) that can go to those schools and still have their heads on straight when they leave. I went to ESU, one tier lower, entered as a flaming conservative, and left there as a flaming conservative - and had a lot of fun battling the left there.

And learned a tremendous amount - got to the level of Rush in understanding just who they are and what they would do to use if they ever achieved absolute power. It was scary.

It can be overcome. Clarence Thomas has mostly contempt for the whole Ivy League thing even though he went to Yale.
