Senate Republican leaders spent a rare Sunday session scolding Ted Cruz.
The leaders wagged their fingers at the younger senator, accusing him of using his pedestal in the upper chamber to "pursue personal ambitions."
Cruz, a Texas senator who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, drew the ire of his colleagues for claiming the top Republican in the Senate lied to him. He accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) of going back on a promise he claims McConnell made to him about the contentious Export-Import Bank.
On Friday, McConnell set up an amendment vote to reauthorize the bank, which provides loans to those purchasing American exports. That didn't sit well with Cruz -- a strong opponent of the bank -- who said he could not "believe [McConnell] would tell a flat-out lie."
In an attempt to get a vote on additional amendments to legislation currently before the Senate, Cruz utilized a procedural tool to overturn McConnell's decision to "fill the tree" on amendments. By filling the tree, McConnell is able to control more closely which amendments get a vote, and limit the amount....

We have Cruz, Lee, Sessions and Cotton and some might add Paul.
Is that it.
Is that all there is?
95 to 5 against us.
These Senators are out of touch with just how angry the American people are. They are insulated in their little worlds and think everyone else outside is so stupid. They are in for a surprise and they better pray that neither Trump or Cruz or both get in the WH because payback is going to be a monstrous b*tch.
I’m working every day to give him more money.
And you saw Cruz’s outstanding response to that.
Trump will never No. 2 so Ted Cruz will graciously and enthusiastically accept to be VP. Ted will eventually be President; it’s in his DNA and there’s nothing that can stop it.
Trump needs Cruz because Ted has the bigger picture on structural changes that need to be made to law and to the Constitution for future generations. Trump’s mission is to get America back to number 1 at all negotiating tables around the globe. Both are on the same page with respect to the border and illegals.
Cruz knew the backlash was coming. He said so, I believe it was on Mark Levin’s show. He was prepared for it. I’d like to give these old crusties a time out - a permanent one. Unfortunately, many Americans don’t keep up with politics, and when voting time comes around, they watch a few lying ads on tv, and with name recognition, they continue to pull the lever for these traitors.
Absolutely!
Hmmmm ... THERE’S a tactic I never considered
The behavior of the GOP leadership makes that more attractive every day. If all we get when the GOP wins is more of the uniparty, then the fear of a Hillary as bad as it is, is just another face of a Washington autocracy that is ruling over the nation and considers the citizenry to be enemies and subjects. Better to go for overturning the ruling order in one last ballot box effort as an alternative to other avenues.
Yep. That is exactly right!
I see they cover Cruz in their Politics section. Trump is in Entertainment.
Ain’t gonna happen.
Ben Sasse NE, who’s a good conservative, voted nay. Deb Fischer NE also voted no but she’s starting to play their games.
I would guess 6
94 to 6. Progress!
Vitter
Senate GOP-E “leaders” can KMA!
Give McTurtle a break guys. He will be able to buck the Obama agenda when he has helped elect 100 Repubican Senators....just don’t rock the boat now.
One thing has become obvious. The ballot box is not working to root
out these corrupt MFer’s.
Once they get in, it’s almost impossible to root them out.
