Donald Trump’s insult of John McCain’s war record on Saturday has led to nearly universal condemnation from his Republican primary adversaries. More importantly, it might also be the well-anticipated moment when Trump’s popularity in the GOP race comes crashing down. Whatever happens next in the campaign, though, it’s fair to say that the damage to Trump’s national personal standing and miniature media empire has already been done. That happened the instant he entered the race by attacking Mexican immigrants as “criminals” and “rapists,” and it happened thanks largely to an unprecedented grassroots response by Latino-Americans, Latino immigrants, and the broader Latino world. Whether or not Trump’s poll numbers return to earth because of the McCain flap, Trump’s entertainment properties don’t ever seem likely to recover from the damage caused by the united Latino response to his blatant xenophobia.
Trump’s remarks weren’t the first time Trump or a high-profile politician had made racist comments about Latinos. Trump himself has blamed crime on blacks and Hispanics before. But this time Latinos were quicker to unite and more effective to protest than ever before. Trump’s outsized personality probably had something to do with the passion of the response. But this became a watershed moment for the Hispanic community mostly because of how the outrage was manifested through social media, and how Hispanic mainstream media reacted to this discontent.

Really folks, something like this does not come by in American politics once every 25 years or so. Wallace was the first phenomenon (preceded by Doug MacArthur), then Bobby Kennedy, followed by Ross Perot. These chucks are never going to know what hit them. They are all walking into the trap. It is most amusing to observe.

Did they talk about Martin O’Malley’s speech today where he attempted to be inclusive of white people and stated that “All Lives Matter!” He was booed by the group and he had to apologize! My representative had posted a pro McCain post. Of 3 dozen posts only a few were pro McCain. Most exposed him and threatened to pull all support from the congressman. Make story short he has pulled the thread

Exactly. This guy is just getting started. What the libs and RINOs don’t understand is Trump hates nothing more than losing, he will never allow that to happen, no matter what it takes. All these candidates have no idea what they are getting themselves into against this guy. He has the BEST people in the world working for him, people who will absolutely eviscerate anybody who gets in his way. Rubio, Jeb, Hillary, have absolutely no chance whatsoever. They are already finished before they even began and they know it. They are like flapping fish out of water trying to wrestle Godzilla.
They understand perfectly well. The conflation of immigrants and illegal aliens has been deliberate. It is part of The Ministry Of Propaganda’s operation to convince Americans that they must accept this invasion/cheap labor importation/colonization.
I can also remember something about Congressional hearings that McCain personally stopped. I think in the 80’s. These hearings were about some of the MIA s still unaccounted for. I have heard these reports are still classified at the Pentagon.
I am no fan of Trump, but Folks should read Sharyl Attkisson’s Fact Check article. Trump is being misrrpresented at every turn. Even Fox News is spreading an inaccurate and incomplete meme.
